Abstract: In one aspect, an electrical apparatus includes: a housing that defines an interior space configured to hold a fluid; and a control system. The control system is configured to: determine a plurality of fault indicators based on a temperature error, where the temperature error is based on a difference between a measured temperature of the fluid and an estimated temperature of the fluid; analyze the fault indicators by comparing each fault indicator to an associated fault specification; and if one or more of the plurality of fault indicators does not meet the associated fault specification: determine whether a fluid leakage condition exists in the electrical apparatus based on the analysis.

Abstract: An apparatus includes: a main body including an interior configured to receive an electrical apparatus, the main body including at least one opening to the interior; and a door configured to overlap the at least one opening to the interior in a first position and to not overlap the at least one opening to the interior in a second position. The apparatus also includes a mounting assembly that includes: a first articulating connection attached to the main body; a second articulating connection attached to the moveable door; and a link between the first articulating connection and the second articulating connection. The mounting assembly is configured to permit the door to move laterally relative to the main body and to rotate about the second articulating connection to transition from the first position and the second position.

The system also includes a monitoring apparatus configured to: receive measured data from the electrical apparatus; determine a load forecast for the electrical apparatus based on the measured data; determine whether a pre-determined time interval has elapsed; and after the pre-determined time interval has elapsed: estimate an actual amount of life lost for the insulation during the pre-determined time interval that elapsed based on the measured data; estimate a predicted amount of life lost for the insulation during one or more future time intervals based on the load forecast; and estimate a remaining service life for the electrical apparatus based on the actual amount of life lost and the predicted amount of life lost.
