Abstract:
A resource allocation method of an overlay management server (OMS) is disclosed. The resource allocation method may include transmitting, to a cache server (CS), a remote peer list determined based on a network distance between each of peers and the CS, receiving, from the CS, a peer list including an identifier of a peer receiving contents from the CS in response to the identifier of the peer being included in the remote peer list, and selecting another CS for the peer in response to the peer list being received.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for controlling freshness of sensor information is provided. The method includes receiving a plurality of sets of sensor information, calculating the freshness of each or integrated freshness of the sets of sensor information, generating a sensor information message by controlling freshness of the sets of sensor information and combining the sets of sensor information, and transmitting the sensor information message to an information user.
Abstract:
An operating method of an overlay management server (OMS) is disclosed. The operating method may include performing a registration process along with a network entity, performing a resource reservation process along with the network entity in response to the registration process being performed, receiving a peer list provision request from the network entity in response to the resource reservation process being performed, and transmitting, to the network entity, a peer list including information associated with an overlay resource for the network entity based on a priority level of the network entity in response to the peer list provision request being received.
Abstract:
A method for providing timing information for synchronizing between packet streams each transported from a first server and a second server under environment of a hybrid delivery service is provided. When the first server transports a first media entity and the second server transports a second media entity, timing information for synchronizing a second packet including a second media entity with a first packet including a first media entity in the second server is generated in response to a transport request for the second media entity from a client and the timing information and the second packet including the second media entity is provided to the client from the second server.
Abstract:
Provided is a network management server that may select a resource entity corresponding to a resource to be allocated to a peer based on shared resource information, transmit resource allocation request information including resource release condition information to the selected resource entity, receive resource allocation result information from the selected resource entity in response to allocating the resource for the peer, based on the resource allocation request information, and transmit the resource allocation result information to the peer.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of operating a server, the method including receiving peer status information from at least one peer, estimating a service reception quality of the peer by calculating a download speed of the peer based on the peer status information, identifying a target peer having the service reception quality less than or equal to a predetermined reference, and determining a helper peer to transmit data to the target peer based on the peer status information.
Abstract:
Provided are method and apparatus for transmitting session-related parameters required for controlling session maintenance to a multicast agent in a relayed multicast network. The session manager in the relayed multicast network generates control data containing at least one of a T_PPROBE field, an N_PPROBE field, a T_HB field, a N_HB field, a T_HSOLICIT field, an N_HSOLICIT field, a T_HANNOUNCE field, a N_HANNOUNCE field, a T_RELAY field, an N_RELAY field, and a T_LEAVE field, and transmits the generated control data to the multicast agent. Accordingly, relayed multicast service can be provided for each session by setting session-related parameters for each session in a relayed multicast network and transmitting them to a multicast agent.
Abstract:
Provided is an operation method of a receiving entity, the method including setting a session with a sending entity based on bootstrap information; transmitting a signaling message corresponding to a media delivery request to the sending entity through the session; receiving media data from the sending entity through the session; and transmitting a signaling message corresponding to a media delivery control request to the sending entity through the session while receiving the media data.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for managing an identification system for a sensor device used to protect and monitor an electrical installation. The method includes receiving an identifier allocation request for allocation of an identifier of a sensor device and allocating the identifier to the sensor device in response to the identifier allocation request, in which the identifier includes a customer number used to identify an installation unit at which the sensor device is positioned, a sensor device name used to identify a type of the sensor device, an electrical installation name used to identify a target electrical installation in an electrical facility to be sensed by the sensor device, and a classified space name indicating information on a space in the electrical facility in which the sensor device is positioned.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of operating a peer-to-peer (P2P) network management system, the method including generating a peer list in response to a request for the peer list from a request peer and sending a request for piece information corresponding to the peer list to a peer activity management server, the peer activity management server being configured to manage peer status information, receiving the piece information generated based on the peer status information from the peer operation server, generating a response message including the piece information and the peer list, and sending the response message to the request peer.
