摘要： In order to minimize a bandwidth required for the transfers of communication network administration information, said information relating to objects pertaining to hardware, software or network operation elements, catalogued in an administration information base (11) and with each of which is associated a formal language specification, the system comprises a translator module (10). The module (10) is designed to generate on the basis of the specification for each object, a pair of words the value of whose first word pertains to an indication of the object and the value of whose second word pertains to an information length of the object. The module (10) is also designed to generate one or more templates comprising an ordered set of pairs of words and an identifier, making it possible to subsequently send an ordered string of information corresponding to each template.

摘要： A device manages a management database in the form of objects to be managed that are referenced according to a reference specification. Equipment exchanges management data in the form of data structures indicated by patterns each corresponding to a respective referenced object and being assigned a respective identifier. In order to manage a given object, the device and the equipment store synchronization information associating the reference of the given object and the corresponding pattern identifier. In order to manage a given object, the equipment sends the corresponding pattern assigned the respective identifier and a data ticket which has a structure indicated by said pattern and is assigned said identifier. The device translates the pattern into the respective referenced object as a function of the identifier of said pattern and the synchronization information, and then stores the data from the received ticket in the management database.

摘要： The switching system receives, originating from an external network facility, data units according to a point-to-point transmission interface format, transporting packets of a higher layer protocol. The data units originating from the external network facility are processed so as to recover first packets. Test traffic carried by second packets of the higher layer protocol is generated, and the first and second packets are multiplexed. The stream of multiplexed packets is converted into data units of the point-to-point transmission interface format, which are re-transmitted to the switching system.

摘要： A method of distributing applications in a first network destined for user terminals is provided. The method includes downloading an application to a user terminal via a first download server associated with the first network, the downloaded application being stored in an entity within a second network interconnected with the first network. Prior to downloading, the method includes: sending, from the first download server, a message containing rules relating to applications likely to be downloaded by the first download server, to a central control server; receiving, by a second download server associated with the second network, a download request sent from the first download server; sending, by the second download server, a response message to the first download server, the response message including data allowing downloading; and transmitting a message containing information relating to the downloading of the application, from the second download server to the central control server.

摘要： A technique is provided for delivering content to a user. The user sends at least one quality indicator to a first content-delivery device, referred to as a secondary device. The indicator relates to delivery of a portion of the content by a second content-delivery device, referred to as a primary device. When the secondary device detects an event that might affect the delivery of the content by the primary device to the user, on the basis at least of the quality indicators relating to at least a delivery of content by the primary device, it commands the user to transfer from the primary device to the secondary device in order to enable the secondary device to deliver portions of the content that have not been delivered by the primary device.
