摘要： Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for fast reassociation with an access point (AP) are disclosed. Apparatuses of an AP are disclosed, where the apparatuses comprise processing circuitry configured to decode a reassociation request frame from the station (STA), encode for transmission to the STA a reassociation response frame, in response to the reassociation request frame being a protected reassociation frame, and encode for transmission to the STA a security association (SA) query frame, in response to the reassociation request frame not being the protected reassociation frame. Apparatuses of an STA are disclosed where the apparatuses comprise processing circuitry configured to associate with an AP, encode for transmission to the AP a protected reassociation request frame, and deleting keys and performing a 4-way handshake with the AP to generate new keys, in response to receiving a reassociation response frame indicating a successful reassociation with the AP.

Many embodiments comprise a medium access control (MAC) sublayer logic to build frames comprising a device profile index element for a first device. In some embodiments, the second device may access a storage medium integrated with or accessible to the second device to determine the device profile. Some embodiments may store the device profile index element in memory, in logic, or in another manner that facilitates transmission of the device profile index element in frames. Some embodiments may receive and detect communications with the device profile index element. Further embodiments may generate and transmit a communication with the device profile index element.

NAN devices communicate data on a schedule of repeating time blocks in which transmission in different time blocks are on different channels. A public action frame indicates in a subfield that the frame is a schedule update frame. The schedule update frame provides attributes to have general schedule update for availability time, existing unicast service or existing multicast service. The schedule update frame also contains a schedule update control field that indicates in a subfield that the current time block is cancelled or extended or provides a general schedule update. The schedule update control field also indicates a reason for the schedule update.

摘要： A multicast publisher and method of establishing multicast scheduling are provided. The publisher determines a schedule for a multicast service that is selected from time slots of a schedule candidate. The schedule candidate is set by the publisher that initiates the multicast group. The multicast group is one-to-many or many-to-many. A response to a request for the service is transmitted to a subscriber and contains the multicast schedule. The response indicates whether the service is available for unicast transmission in addition to multicast. A schedule selection policy for other multicast publishers joining the multicast group specifies that the other multicast publishers are to follow the multicast schedule acquired when joining the multicast group, use the multicast schedule candidate to determine a multicast schedule, or are free to choose a multicast schedule.

Many embodiments comprise MAC sublayer logic to generate and transmit management frames such as beacon frames, association response frames, reassociation response frames, and probe response frames with an access category for low power consumption stations or sensor stations comprising a parameter record defining a contention window that is the earliest contention window to open amongst contention windows defined for the access categories for traffic. In some embodiments, the MAC sublayer logic may store the parameter record sets for access categories in memory, in logic, or in another manner that facilitates transmission of the frames. Some embodiments may receive and detect communications with frames comprising the access categories and store a parameter set for one or more of the access categories in a management information base.
