Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a liquid handling method that makes it possible to simply isolate a droplet, a fluid handling device used in this method, and a fluid handling system. This fluid handling method serves to flow a fluid including a solvent and a droplet through a fluid handling device comprising an inlet, a first flow path having one end connected to the inlet, a chamber connected to the other end of the first flow path, a second flow path having one end connected to the chamber, and an outlet connected to the other end of the second flow path. This fluid handling method includes an introduction step for introducing the fluid through the inlet and accommodating the droplet in the chamber, a rotation step for rotating the fluid handling device after the introduction step, and a removal step for removing the droplet from the inside of the chamber after the rotation step. In the introduction step, the fluid handling device is disposed such that the chamber widens from the position where the chamber and the second flow path are connected in the direction opposite from the direction of gravity.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a fluid handling device which can prevent an inclination of a rotary member. The fluid handling device includes: a substrate; a circular first groove disposed on the substrate; a second groove connected to the first groove; a third groove connected to the first groove; a film joined to the substrate so as to cover the first groove, the second groove and the third groove; and a joining area where the film and the bottom of the first groove is joined, the joining area being disposed between a connecting portion of the second groove and a connecting portion of the third groove in the first groove. The surface of the film in the joining area is located closer to the bottom of the first groove than the surface of the film in an area joined to the substrate of the film.

Abstract: A fluid chip suitable for a fluid device is disclosed in which an upper surface of a flow passage has another member bonded thereto. The disclosed fluid chip, in which a flow passage is formed, comprises a base material having a top surface forming at least a portion of a bottom surface of a flow passage, and a bonding member which is formed from an elastomer resin and an upper end surface of which is provided in a position higher than the top surface of the base material. The base material has a support post portion which projects from the top surface and defines the height of a side surface of the flow passage, and the support post portion of the base material is embedded in the bonding member.

Abstract: The objective of the present invention is to provide a fluid handling device capable of easily isolating droplets. Abstract: This fluid handling device has a rotary member that is rotatable around the central axis. In the rotary member, a first protruding part for pressing and closing a valve of a flow channel chip and a recessed part for opening the valve without pressing the valve are disposed on the circumference of a first circle around the central axis. The rotary member further has a second protruding part for, when the recessed part is located at the valve in a state where the rotary member is rotated, pressing the valve so as not to open the valve.
