Abstract: A bicycle rim includes a plurality of holes defined therethrough and each hole has a recess defined in an inner periphery of the rim. A diameter of the recess is larger than a diameter of the hole so that an end of a spoke is engaged with the recess. A screw extends through the hole in the rim and threadedly engaged with a threaded hole defined longitudinally in the end of the spoke.

Abstract: A bicycle rim includes a plurality of recesses defined in an inner periphery thereof and a through hole is defined through the rim and shares a common axis with the recess corresponding thereto. A plurality of spokes each have a threaded hole defined in a first end thereof which is fitted in one of the recesses and a plurality of bolts extend through the through holes and are threadedly connected to the threaded holes in the spokes. The through holes are small so that they do not reduce the structural strength of the rim and the end of each spoke is fitted in the recess to further position the spokes to the rim. A second end of each of the spokes is connected to a hub by extending a bolt through the hub and threadedly connected to the second end of each spoke.

Abstract: A bicycle wheel includes a rim with a plurality of holes defined therethrough and each hole receives an insertion section of a nut. The insertion section is enclosed by an inner periphery of the hole and an end surface of the insertion section is in flush with an inner periphery of the rim. A threaded hole is defined in the end surface of the insertion section. A plurality of spokes each have a threaded end at a first end thereof so as to be threadedly connected to the threaded hole of one of the nuts. A hooking end is connected at a second of each spoke so as to be connected to a hub.

Abstract: A bicycle hub includes a tubular body and a first flange, a second flange and a third flange extend radially from an outer surface of the tubular body. The third flange is located between the first flange and the second flange. Each of the first flange, the second flange and the third flange has holes defined therethrough so as to be connected with spokes. The diameter of the three flanges and the radial distance of the holes in the three flanges may be different so as to obtain a desired rim according to the way of use of the bicycle wheel.
