    摘要: A method and apparatus for providing call parking for a communication network are disclosed. The method first determines a disconnection of a first party's endpoint device, wherein said first party is either a calling party or a called party. The method then determines if said disconnection of said first party's endpoint device is due to hanging up. If said disconnection is not due to hanging up, the method parks a second party wherein said second party is either a calling party or a called party communicating with said first party prior to said disconnection. The method determines if said first party's device is back online and reconnects said first party and second party if said first party's device is back online.

The method involves coordinating a simultaneous presentation of multimedia content to a plurality of computing devices, receiving a control signal from a computer of one of the plurality of computing devices to control the presentation of multimedia content, and broadcasting the control assigned to each of the plurality of computing devices such that a control event substantially simultaneously occurs in the presentation of a multimedia content at each of the plurality of computing devices. Where commercial breaks and length of presentation differences occur in various time zones or geographically disparate areas, the method may include utilizing synchronization points, adding new content in time gaps at a computing device and/or modifying the length of the presentation to maintain synchronization among the computing devices in a group.

    摘要: The present invention provides a system and method for managing calls for a subscriber, including accessing a calling plan while the subscriber is in an existing active call with at least one other party. The call is placed or received by the subscriber at a first device. At least one service feature of the calling plan is invoked during the active call. This service feature includes an add callers feature for adding at least one additional party to the existing active call between the subscriber and the other party. The service feature additionally includes a transfer devices feature for transferring the existing active call to at least one additional device of the subscriber and hanging up on the first device by the subscriber to confirm the transfer of the call to the additional device.
