    摘要: A protection circuit for monitoring and recognizing an undervoltage condition in the electrical system of a motor vehicle having an anti-skid brake control system in order to minimize and reduce any adverse effects on the braking action of the vehicle wheels. The protection circuit includes at least one comparator circuit to recognize if the voltage falls below a predetermined reference threshold voltage. When the supply voltage falls below the threshold voltage, the comparator circuit deactivates at least one of two diagonal switching circuits to remove automatic brakes on at least two wheels of a vehicle by the anti-skid brake control system.

    摘要: A gear shift mechanism for providing a vehicle operator with a "feel" of a desired gear change being completed in a power operated gear unit. A drum disc connected to the gear shift lever is formed with a recess in which a locking pin of an actuator valve is engageable when the gear shift lever is operated to a shift position, thereby limiting further movement of the gear shift lever. A sensor device associated with the gear unit detects completion of the gear change and operates the actuator to retract the locking pin from the recess to allow further movement of the gear shift lever, as an indication to the vehicle operator that the intended gear change is completed, so that he may engage the clutch and apply gas.

    摘要: An antiskid brake control system in which an electronic evaluation circuit subject to dynamic behavior signals produced by a wheel sensor associated with one wheel of an axle controls modulator valve device in the brake cylinder fluid pressure conduit to adjust the brake cylinder pressure at the sensed wheel as well as at the non-sensed wheel of the axle independently of an operator controlled brake valve device. There is provided in alternate arrangements of the invention an electrical delay element via which either the supply or exhaust valve comprising the modulator valve device associated with the non-sensed wheel is controlled so that the non-sensed wheel brake pressure development is inhibited relative to the sensed wheel brake pressure to provide better stability of the non-sensed wheel. Another arrangement provides an electrical delay element via which the exhaust valve comprising the modulator valve device of the sensed wheel is controlled so as to inhibit the exhaust of brake pressure therefrom while the non-sensed wheel brake pressure is reduced in the usual manner under control of the evaluation device when a wheel skid condition of the sensed wheel is detected. As an alternative to the electrical delay elements in these arrangements, there may be provided a fluid pressure flow restrictor in the appropriate brake cylinder conduit, with the direction of restricted flow being controlled by a one-way check valve.

    摘要: A disk brake assemblage providing an improved arrangement whereby the brake pads and supports therefore may be changed with a minimum amount of disassembly of the disk brake assemblage. The brake assemblage is provided with an annular cylinder and an annular piston operable therein and comprising a brake cylinder device operably disposed between a pair of backing plates and brake pads which are adapted to frictionally engage respective brake disks or rotors. Both the cylinder and the piston are provided with axially projecting lugs or members normally engaging correspondingly formed recesses on the brake pad backing plates for retaining the brake pads and plates in the operable position. By axially squeezing or displacing the cylinder and piston toward each other, the lugs are displaced out of the recesses to permit the brake pads and backing plates to be removed and replaced.
