    摘要: A brake by wire system is integrated with a brake transmission solenoid interlock (BTSI) unit to prevent a vehicle transmission from being shifted out of a park mode into a drive mode until a brake system operational state is determined. The BTSI is activated by a supplemental brake control unit, which receives a transmission release signal from a brake system controller upon receipt of a brake intent signal from one or more brake pedal sensors after a diagnostic program has determined the brake system operational state. The supplemental brake control unit includes a switch responsive to the transmission release signal to close the BTSI activating circuit and permit release of the transmission. In a split brake system with two brake controllers, the supplemental brake control unit may include a switch controlled by a logic (OR, AND) circuit or a pair of switches in an equivalent logical circuit configuration.

    摘要: A fault tolerant electronic braking system for a vehicle has a brake pedal arranged to provide an electronic signal in response to operation thereof. A number of braking nodes are coupled to the brake pedal, each node being arranged to control a brake actuator. Each brake node has a controller arranged for processing the first signal to provide a second signal for controlling the brake actuator, and for providing third signals for transmission to the other control means. The third signals are the expected second signal results of the other controllers. Each controller is arranged to compare the second signal with the third signals received from the other controllers such that errors detected between the second and third signals indicate faults in the controllers.

The vehicle also includes a control valve connected to the electronic control unit which causes the braking pressure applied to the following axle wheels to be greater than the braking pressure applied to the wheels on the drive axle during unregulated, partial braking operation. During regulated braking operations, the braking pressure applied to the following axle wheels is the same as the braking pressure applied to the drive axle wheels.

    摘要: To control a brake slip control apparatus, the rotational behavior of the wheels or of the axles is sensed with the aid of sensors, and the sensor signals for the generation of valve control signals, by which the braking pressure at the wheels is controlled dependent upon the wheel rotational behavior, will be processed electronically. On the basis of these sensor signals, valve control signals will be produced in at least two independently acting, synchronously driven logical circuit units, which may be integrated circuit configurations or complete "microcontrollers" or single-chip-microcomputers, and the signals' waveforms of each of the two circuit units can be compared and checked for agreement externally and internally at corresponding locations within the two circuit units. Upon the occurrence of variations in the external and/or the internal signals or in the signals' waveform, there will be caused, initiated or prepared a complete or partial disconnection of the brake slip control. A circuit configuration for implementing this method comprises a synchronizable astable multivibrator to process the sensor signals, a valve driver circuit including a level adjusting circuit as well as monitoring circuits for disconnecting the current supply for the regulator and for blocking the valve drivers in the event of interferences or variations in the signals' waveform occurring within the two circuit units. The monitoring circuits, one for each of the two circuit units, act on at least one transistor connected in series in the exciter circuit of a relay, by which the current supply is established or interrupted.

    摘要: An anti-block control system has four identically designed control channels. Safety circuits (8, 8') are also provided for monitoring the system, as are devices for testing the operability of the system. In this test, performed while the vehicle is stopped or when it is started, a test signal is fed into the channels and the effects of this signal are compared, in pairs, at locations of the controller corresponding to one another. A signal train is formed when the comparison is made. In accordance with the invention, two safety circuits (8, 8') are provided, each associated with a pair of channels, and the signals from all the channels are supplied, in pairs, to the safety circuits. The safety circuits include timing elements. During a test cycle, the signal trains in the two channel pairs generated by using the test signal are compared with one another by use of two comparator circuits (23, 23'), and in the case of non-agreement, a warning or switching signal (18, 18', 31) is generated.
