    摘要: Surgical end effectors are disclosed. The surgical end effectors can include a first jaw and a second jaw comprising a closure surface and an opening surface. The surgical end effectors can also include a pivot joint, wherein the second jaw is configured to pivot relative to the first jaw at the pivot joint, wherein the closure surface is positioned distal of the pivot joint, and the opening surface is positioned proximal to the pivot joint. The surgical end effectors can also include a firing member configured to move distally during a firing stroke, wherein the firing member comprises a first flange and a second flange. The second flange can be configured to engage the closure surface to pivot the second jaw toward a closed position, and the second flange can be configured to engage the opening surface to pivot the second jaw toward an open position.

    摘要: An ultrasonic instrument for use during a surgical procedure includes a body, a shaft assembly, an ultrasonic blade, and an actuation assembly. The body is configured to receive an ultrasonic transducer for selectively generating an oscillation at a first or a second predetermined power level. The shaft assembly projects from the body and includes an acoustic waveguide connected to the ultrasonic blade. The actuation assembly includes a selector collar generally surrounding the body and a plurality of activation buttons disposed radially about the body proximate to the selector collar. The selector collar is selectively movable along the body between a first position and a second position for selecting between the first and second predetermined power levels. The plurality of activation buttons are configured to direct the ultrasonic blade to oscillate with the selected first or second predetermined power levels.

    摘要: A stapling system comprising a surgical stapler, a cartridge jaw, and a replaceable staple cartridge is disclosed. The surgical stapler comprises a firing member movable through a firing stroke. The replaceable staple cartridge comprises a cartridge body, a pan, staples, and a staple driver. The cartridge body comprises a longitudinal slot, a first deck portion, a second deck portion, and three adjacent longitudinal rows of staple cavities defined in the first deck portion. The pan comprises a first flexible arm and a second flexible arm engaged with the cartridge body in a snap-fit arrangement. Each staple is deployable between an unfired position and a fired position. The firing member is configured to sequentially deploy the staples when the firing member is moved through the firing stroke. The staple driver is configured to simultaneously deploy more than two staples located in the adjacent longitudinal rows of staple cavities.

The array comprises a distal staple driver configured to operably support at least two distal surgical staples thereon that are each oriented in a distal direction. At least one first intermediate staple driver is configured to operably support at least two first surgical staples oriented in a first direction and at least two second surgical staples oriented in a second direction that differs from the first direction. At least one second intermediate staple driver is configured to be slidably supported adjacent at least one of the distal staple driver and a corresponding one of the first intermediate staple drivers. Each of the second intermediate staple drivers is configured to operably support five surgical staples thereon.
