摘要: An illumination device and method are provided herein for calibrating individual LEDs in the illumination device to obtain a desired luminous flux and a desired chromaticity of the device over changes in drive current, temperature, and over time as the LEDs age. The calibration method may include subjecting the illumination device to a first ambient temperature, successively applying at least three different drive currents to a first LED to produce illumination at three or more different levels of brightness, obtaining a plurality of optical measurements from the illumination produced by the first LED at each of the at least three different drive currents, obtaining a plurality of electrical measurements from the photodetector and storing results of the obtaining steps within the illumination device to calibrate the first LED at the first ambient temperature. The plurality of optical measurements may generally include luminous flux and chromaticity, the plurality of electrical measurements may generally include induced photocurrents and forward voltages, and the calibration method steps may be repeated for each LED included within the illumination device and upon subjecting the illumination device to a second ambient temperature.

摘要: An inspection system includes an excitation light source, a voltage-sensing film, an illumination light source, an image capture device. The excitation light source provides an excitation beam to light-emitting diodes to generate open-circuit voltages. The voltage-sensing film is at a top side of the light-emitting diodes and includes a voltage-sensing medium layer and a first electrode layer. The first electrode layer is in the voltage-sensing medium layer to provide a gain effect of the open-circuit voltages, so that the voltage-sensing medium layer senses the open-circuit voltages, and a display of the voltage-sensing medium layer is changed with a portion or all of the open-circuit voltages. The illumination light source provides an illumination beam to the voltage-sensing film to generate a sensing image according to a display change. The image capture device is on a transmission path of the sensing image and receives the sensing image to generate an inspection result.

摘要: A smart lamp system and method for monitoring a status of LEDs. The system can provide LED status monitoring using a logic controller communicating with at least one strip of LEDs. The system can utilize the logic controller to assign a unique identifier (ID) to the at least one strip of LEDs based on a physical position of a plurality of dual-inline package (DIP) switches incorporated within a smart lamp housing. The system can provide a hardware architecture to interface the logic controller with a power-line communication (PLC) transceiver. The system can establish a communication protocol between the PLC transceiver and a PLC receiver to efficiently communicate the statuses of the LEDs. The logic controller can generate a payload including a binary representation of the unique ID of the smart lamp and the statuses of the LEDs and transmit the payload to the PLC transceiver.

摘要: Method and apparatus for providing a motor controller/driver integrated circuit package having diagnostic processing of signal(s) from a magnetic field sensor positioned in relation to a motor. The sensor signal may have a first voltage range corresponding to a valid high state and a second voltage range corresponding to a valid low state. A diagnostic module can process the received signal from the magnetic field sensor to determine whether the received signal has a voltage level within the first or second voltage ranges. An output module may generate an output signal having a state based on the whether the received signal has a voltage level within the first or second voltage ranges.

摘要: A vehicle LED lighting outage detection circuit is disclosed for detecting a fault in the LED light and automatically increasing the power drawn from the light power supply in response to the fault. A complementary detection circuit is also disclosed for detecting the increased power draw and signaling a fault to an operator. The increased power draw can be selected to be in the form of a pulse that settles to a lower power draw state after a time to avoid excessive and wasteful power draw. The system can be mounted in a vehicle and, more particularly, to a semi-tractor truck.
