摘要: A system for growing algae in a slurry, includes a pond having an inlet and an outlet and a plurality of contiguous elongate channel segments coupled fluidically in sequence between the inlet and the outlet, and the inlet is located at an elevation higher than outlet to allow gravity to flow the slurry from the inlet to the outlet. The system further includes a separation device fluidically coupled to the outlet to receive and separate algae from the slurry.

摘要: The present disclosure is related to processes for the alkylation of an isoparaffin. The process may include introducing, in a multistage reactor, a solid acid catalyst including a zeolite to an isoparaffin feed and an olefin feed to form an alkylation product mixture including C5+ olefins. The processes may further include separating at least a portion of the C5+ olefins from the alkylation product mixture to form an oligomer light stream. The present disclosure further relates to multistage reactors for the alkylation of an isoparaffin with an olefin. The multistage reactors may include a plurality of stages, and a plurality of separation systems. The multistage reactors may also include an outlet space coupling each stage to a separation system and an inlet space coupling a separation system to a subsequent stage.

摘要: A system includes an algae bioreactor that contains an algae slurry, a heat exchanger in fluid communication with the algae bioreactor to receive the algae slurry from the algae bioreactor and heat and increase a pressure of the algae slurry, and one or more valves and a flash vessel in fluid communication with a discharge of the heat exchanger to flash the algae slurry and create steam and algae biomass. A separator receives the algae biomass from the flash vessel and separates oils from the algae biomass to generate a biofuel.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to processes for the alkylation of isoparaffins. A process may include introducing, in a multistage reactor, a solid acid catalyst to an isoparaffin feed and an olefin feed at a pressure of about 300 psig to about 1500 psig to form a alkylation product mixture. A process may also include solid acid catalyst that includes a crystalline microporous material of the MWW framework type. In yet other embodiments, the present disclosure provides for processes for the alkylation of an isoparaffin. A process may include introducing, in a multistage reactor, a solid acid catalyst to an isoparaffin feed and an olefin feed at a temperature of from about 100° C. to about 200° C. to form an alkylation product mixture. A process may further include a solid acid catalyst that includes a crystalline microporous material of the MWW framework type.
