Abstract: A radio frequency coupling structure comprising (1) a substrate that forms a top side of a waveguide, (2) a first conductive layer disposed on a bottom side of the substrate, (3) a second conductive layer incorporated within the substrate, (4) a through via that is communicatively coupled to the first conductive layer and extends through an opening in the second conductive layer toward a top side of the substrate, and/or (5) a ring slot formed around the through via in the first conductive layer. Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems for analog spatial multiplexing are disclosed. One apparatus includes a receiver, wherein the receiver includes a plurality of antennas operative to receive a plurality of wireless signals, a plurality of tunable time delays, and a plurality of frequency response equalizers, wherein a time delay of each of the tunable time delays is adjusted based on a feedback of measurements of one or more pilot tones of more than one output of the plurality of frequency response equalizers. The receiver further includes a plurality of frequency up-converters generating a plurality of frequency up-converted signals, a MIMO processor receiving the plurality of frequency up-converted signals, wherein the MIMO processor adjusts a gain and phase of the of the frequency up-converted signals based on the measurements of the pilot tones, and a plurality of frequency down-converters receiving and frequency down-converting output signals from the MIMO processor.

Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems for a site survey tool are disclosed. One site survey tool includes an elevated platform comprising a directionally adjustable beam-forming antenna, and operates to adjust an elevation (z coordinate) of the adjustable beam-forming antenna, a ground unit that operates to adjust to a plurality of locations (x and y coordinates). The elevated platform and the ground unit operate to determine an angular spread boundary of a supercell base station, determine a power azimuth angular spectrum threshold needed in order for the supercell base station to support adaptive sectorization, estimate a power azimuth angular spectrum of a site, and determine that the site supports the supercell base station if the estimated power azimuth angular spectrum of the site is less than the power azimuth angular spectrum threshold at the angular spread boundary.

Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems for a site survey tool are disclosed. One site survey tool includes an elevated platform, wherein the elevated platform includes a directionally adjustable beam-forming antenna, wherein the elevated platform operates to adjust an elevation of the adjustable beam-forming antenna, and wherein the elevated platform operates to transmit or receive wireless signals while the directionally adjustable beam-forming antenna changes a beam direction. Further, a ground unit transmits wireless signals to the elevated platform or receives wireless signals from the elevated platform while the directionally adjustable beam-forming antenna changes the beam direction. A signal quality of received wireless signals is measured, and a power azimuth angular spectrum of a surveyed site is estimated based on a known motion of the adjustable beam-forming antenna, a known beam-forming pattern of the adjustable beam-forming antenna, and the measured phase and amplitude of the received wireless signals.
