摘要： A traffic signal (310) having a reflector (322, 400) having a plurality of reflective surfaces (330, 402) directing incident ambient light received from the signal lens (318) to a photodetector (322). The reflector is disposed proximate and about a plurality of LEDs (324, 406) which are pulse width modulated by an integrated controller (360) to generate light which is also transmitted through the lens. The photodetector senses the incoming ambient light when the LEDs are in the “off” mode. Incident ambient light is focused by a lens to overfill the reflector and LEDs, and the photodetector is positioned within the redirected incident ambient light from the lens.

摘要： In one embodiment, a device for improving a user's breathing includes an upper arch adapted to receive at least some of the user's upper teeth and a lower arch adapted to receive at least some of the user's lower teeth. A hook having a substantially rounded end is coupled to the upper arch. The lower arch includes a substantially rounded recess adapted to receive and position the substantially rounded end of the hook to pull the lower arch forward to facilitate improved breathing.

In a preferred embodiment, the storage device includes a drawer for storing the object which can be a battery or pharmaceutical product. The drawer includes a substantially circular housing for accommodating an object of a first size. The drawer also includes a groove disposed within the housing portion of the drawer. The groove can accommodate an object of a second size. A plurality of slots are disposed within the groove. Each of the slots can accommodate an object of a third size. The storage device also includes a sheath in which the drawer is adapted to be latch engaged.

摘要： An automatic ice and beverage dispensing machine having an ice dispensing chute assembly which is rotatable. As a rotating chute rotates rearward, a lifting motion first moves a locking device which locks a door in place and then elevates the door so that ice can freely flow from an ice storage bin. A switch is contacted which initiates the flow of ice from the ice storage bin. Releasing the rotating chute causes it to rotate (due to gravity) back to its initial, neutral position, disengaging the switch and stopping the flow of ice from the ice storage bin, reversing the lifting action on the door and the locking device, closing the door and locking the door in place to prevent further flow of ice from the ice storage bin.

摘要： A pneumatically operated veterinary medicinal pellet implanter utilizes pressurized air to drive an impeller for dispensing medicinal pellets through a needle on an end of the implanter and into a cavity created by the needle under the skin of an animal to be treated. The pressurized air source may also be utilized to retract the impeller after dispensing of the pellets. The impeller is part of a piston slidingly secured within a pneumatic cylinder. Pressurized air is selectively and alternatingly supplied to the front and rear and rear of the cylinder for advancing the impeller between retracted and extended positions respectively. The pressure of the air supplied to the rear of the cylinder for driving the impeller is reduced relative to the pressure of the air supplied to the front of the cylinder for retracting the impeller.
