Abstract: This water vapor observation device comprises an antenna, an RF amplifier, and processing circuitry. The antenna receives radio waves radiated from an atmosphere including water vapor. The RF amplifier amplifies the received radio waves and generates an observation signal. The processing circuitry is programmed to at least: use the observation signal to select a plurality of observation frequencies excluding an accuracy degraded frequency; and calculate a water vapor index using the spectral intensities of the plurality of observation frequencies. This configuration makes it possible to accurately observe a water vapor amount.

Abstract: To provide a multilayer substrate for transmitting/receiving a high frequency signal, the substrate having a simplified configuration and excellent high frequency characteristics. This disclosure pertains to a multilayer substrate provided with: a plurality of dielectric layers laminated together with ground layers interposed therebetween; and a signal line for inputting and outputting a signal, the signal line being formed on the surface of the dielectric layer. The plurality of ground layers include an input-side ground layer part formed in the region on the signal-input side of the signal line, an output-side ground layer part formed in the region on the signal-output side of the signal line, and an intermediate ground layer part formed in the region between the input-side ground layer part and the output-side ground layer part. The input-side ground layer part and the output-side ground layer part each have fewer layers than the intermediate ground layer part.

Abstract: A radar device (1) includes a frequency conversion part (12) which converts a frequency of an echo signal obtained by reflecting a detection signal and receiving the reflected detection signal by an antenna (10), and amplifies a signal level thereof. The radar device (1) includes a path switching part (20) which outputs, as a calibration signal, to the frequency conversion part (12), the transmission signal output by the transmission signal generation part (11) at a timing while the transmission signal is output to the antenna (10). A gain adjustment part (23) changes an amplification gain of the frequency conversion part (12) on the basis of a signal level of the calibration signal input to the frequency conversion part (12) and a signal level of the calibration signal having been amplified by the frequency conversion part (12).
