摘要： A projection display according to the present invention reduces the size of a light beam in the optical path of an illumination optics from the periphery to change the amount of light incident on a video display device and the angle of such incidence, thereby making a plurality of image brightness/contrast combinations selectable. Further, the present invention changes the revolving speed of a projection display cooling fan and the adjustment value settings for the video display device's electrical characteristics in accordance with the aperture.

摘要： If a projection display device includes a shifting mechanism for shifting a projection lens to adjust the direction in which the display projects an optical image, it is difficult to find suitable position where the display should be installed. Thus, the projection lens is fitted with a projection angle adjusting mechanism, which includes an adjusting dial having a scale representing the position of the lens relative to a display element. The projection display device is capable of automatically displaying on the projected optical image a scale image corresponding to the scale. The projection display also is capable of displaying on the projected optical image the position of the optical axis of the projection lens, which can be shifted by the adjusting mechanism.

摘要： If a projection display device includes a shifting mechanism for shifting a projection lens to adjust the direction in which the display projects an optical image, it is difficult to find suitable position where the display should be installed. The recording medium information is identification information. The candidate determining unit determines a candidate recording medium information from the recording medium information stored in the memory based on the feature information of the target recording medium obtained by the information obtainer. The image forming device forms an image on the target recording medium based on the image forming condition information in the memory according to the candidate recording medium information determined by the candidate determining unit.

摘要： A detecting device, which is included in an image forming apparatus, includes a detector configured to optically detect at least one of a position of a sheet, a position of an image formed on the sheet, and the image formed on the sheet, and a rotary body disposed at a position opposed to the detector and having a shaft, the rotary body being rotatable about the shaft in a sheet conveying direction of the sheet. The sheet is conveyed to space between the detector and the rotary body. The rotary body has a reference plane on an outer circumferential surface, a line formed on the reference plane and extending in a width direction perpendicular to the sheet conveying direction. The detector detects the line on the reference plane while the rotary body is rotating when the sheet does not intervene between the detector and the rotary body.
