    Abstract: A temperature rate control system for a gas turbine having sensors in the path of the exhaust gasses which produce an electrical signal proportional to temperature. A reference circuit provides a signal proportional to maximum allowable temperature which opposes the feedback signal at a summing junction. A third signal applied to the summing junction in opposition to the reference signal and varying toward zero as a function of time results in the summing junction output signal which varies the turbine fuel input inversely whereby the temperature increase rate of the turbine is held to a predetermined value.

    Abstract: A temperature adaptive control system for controlling the rate of fuel flow to a gas turbine having sensors in the path of the exhaust gases which produce an electrical feedback signal proportional to temperature. Another signal, proportional to maximum allowable temperature, normally opposes the feedback signal at a summing junction. A third coacting signal forms an envelope and varies indirectly with the temperature of the turbine over a predetermined period of time at the end of which it is reduced to zero, causing the fuel flow to increase the maximum controlled rate without exceeding the temperature limits defined by the third signal.

    Abstract: An electrical control circuit for adjusting the fuel input to rotating machinery such as a gas turbine during acceleration, includes a positive speed feedback signal in opposition to a reference signal representing maximum allowable acceleration. A third input signal, applied to the input of the control circuit in equal opposition to the speed reference signal when the acceleration of the turbine is zero, prevents a time delay from occurring in control reaction to changes in speed of the turbine.
