Abstract:
A dual fuel system for a combustion engine includes an air and fuel mixer configured to mix air and fuel provided to the combustion engine, a first fuel path for a first fuel, and a second fuel path for a second fuel. The first and second fuels have different physical and chemical properties. The dual fuel system also includes a common fuel path coupled to the air and fuel mixer and both the first and second fuel paths, wherein the common fuel path includes an electronically controlled valve configured to regulate the air to fuel ratio of an air/fuel mixture provided to the combustion engine in response to control signals from a controller, and both the first and second fuel paths are coupled to the common fuel path at a location upstream of the electronically controlled valve.
Abstract:
A pressure sensor system for a compressor including an inlet bellmouth is disclosed. The system includes a first static pressure sensor positioned within a plane of a plenum that is upstream of the inlet bellmouth; and a second static pressure sensor positioned at an entrance plane of the compressor. A mass flow rate calculator may calculate a mass flow rate based on a pressure differential between the plane of the plenum and the entrance plane of the compressor.
Abstract:
A gasket system for sealing a cover about an opening having a gasket seat thereabout is provided. The gasket seat has a number of fastener receiving elements that is greater than a number of fasteners used with the cover. The gasket may include a body having a shape configured to mate with a sealing surface of at least one of the gasket seat and the cover, the body having an open center. The gasket may also include a fastener receiving opening in the body for each of the first number of fastener receiving elements in the gasket seat, and a raised rib extending from a surface of the body adjacent to at least one of the third number of fastener-free receiving elements in the gasket seat.
