Abstract: A preemptive optimization of a power distribution event associated with providing an electrical power from a battery onboard a vehicle to a charging station offboard the vehicle. The preemptive optimization may include preemptively charging the battery in advance of the power distribution event and/or preemptively configuring the vehicle and the battery, such as with establishment of standby session, to provide electrical power from the battery to the charging station without providing the electrical power to the charging station until the charging station thereafter experiences an outage, interrupt, etc.

Abstract: Methods, vehicle systems, and vehicles are provided that are capable of managing communication between a vehicle and a portable energy source (PES) coupled to the vehicle. The vehicle systems include a vehicle battery configured to provide electrical power to a propulsion system of the vehicle and a vehicle controller that is configured to establish two-way data communication between the vehicle controller and a PES controller of the PES, determine an energy transfer mode for transferring electrical power between the vehicle battery and a PES battery of the PES, initiate electrical power transfer between the vehicle battery and the PES battery in accordance with the energy transfer mode while the vehicle is being propelled by the propulsion system, receive a status of the PES battery from the PES controller, and adjust the electrical power transfer between the vehicle battery and the PES battery based on the status.

Abstract: A system and method for adaptation of electric vehicle charging communication parameters that includes commencing, by an electric vehicle (EV), a communication session between the EV and an electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) charging station. The communication session includes extracting a vehicle charging communication session parameter from the EVSE charging station and validating, by the EV, that the vehicle charging communication session parameter with a default charging parameter. A direct current or an alternating current charging of the EV, based on a digital communication parameter received by the EVSE charging station, is initiated. In the event of a failure of the communication session, the vehicle charging communication session parameter is relaxed and a restarted EV charging session is initiated, where if the restarted EV charging session is successful, a deviation parameter is generated.

Abstract: A vehicle charging system includes a charging station comprising a controller configured to selectively supply power from a vehicle to a home. The controller enables charging in response to a predetermined minimum voltage and a predetermined minimum current on an electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) side of the charging station. A mobile battery station is configured to supply power from a plurality of batteries to the EVSE side of the charging station at a first voltage greater than or equal to the predetermined minimum voltage and a first current greater than the predetermined minimum current.
