Abstract: A method for correcting service manual textual inconsistencies. Extracting textual procedures from service documents stored in a memory of a service document storage device. Each term of an extracted textual procedure terminology is compared to a correlating target name terminology for identifying any matching terms by a processor. An overlap similarity is computed as a function of the identified matching terms from the extracted textual procedure terminology and the correlating target name terminology. A determination is made whether the overlap similarity is greater than a predetermined similarity threshold. The service documents are modified to change the extracted textual procedure terminology to the correlating target name terminology in response to the overlap similarity being greater than the predetermined similarity threshold and the extracted textual procedure terminology not exactly matching the correlating target name terminology.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for generating prognostic information regarding a component in a vehicle. The method includes receiving a first set of data for one or more parameters corresponding to the component. The first set of data is obtained from a degradation signal wirelessly transmitted from the vehicle at a first predetermined frequency. The method further includes executing, at a second predetermined frequency, a set of executable instructions for assessing a condition of the component in response to the first set of data. The method further includes obtaining a second set of data indicative of repair or replacement of the component and adjusting at least one of the first predetermined frequency and the second predetermined frequency responsive to the second set of data.

Abstract: A system for context-oriented auto park assist includes sensor, communication, and vehicle control sub-systems. Each sub-systems has control modules having processors, memories, and input/output (I/O) ports. The I/O ports of the sensor and communication sub-systems are in communication with the vehicle control system. The control modules execute program code portions stored in the memory including a program code portions that generates occupant, environmental, time and location, and vehicle contexts, and a combined context by combining the occupant, environmental, location and time, and vehicle contexts. The system scans a parking area for candidate parking spots by applying the combined context vector as the vehicle is driven through the parking area. The system informs vehicle occupants of the presence of candidate parking spots, and upon receiving an input from the vehicle occupants, performs one or more automated driver assistance system (ADAS) actions through the vehicle control system to park the vehicle.
