Abstract:
Methods, systems and media for presenting information related to an event based on metadata are provided. In some implementations, the method comprises: detecting that a user-initiated event has been performed on a user device; detecting a plurality of sensors connected to the user device; causing a plurality of content items related to the user-initiated event to be obtained using the plurality of sensors connected to the user device; determining whether each of the plurality of content items is to be associated with the user-initiated event based on user device information from a plurality of data sources; associating a portion of the plurality of content items with the user-initiated event based on the determination; retrieving information related to the portion of the plurality of content items; detecting, using the plurality of sensors connected to the user device, a second plurality of content items; determining that at least one of the second plurality of content items is related to at least one of the first plurality of content items; and causing information related to the user-initiated event to be presented by the user device based at least in part on the determination.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer readable storage mediums are provided for determining the mood of the user, deriving an appropriate lighting scheme, and then implementing that lighting scheme on all devices within a predetermined proximity to that user. Furthermore, when a user begins a task, the devices can track the user and use lighting from nearby screens to offer functional lighting.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and media for producing sensory outputs correlated with relevant information are provided. In some implementations, the method comprises: determining activity information associated with a user of a user device; determining an item of information related to the activity information; identifying a device associated with the user device with which to present an indication of the item of information; identifying a sensory modality and a sensory output corresponding to the sensory modality, wherein the sensory output is correlated to the item of information; transmitting instructions to the device that cause the device to produce the sensory output; storing information related to the user's actions after the sensory output was produced in association with the sensory output and the item of information; and determining whether to continue causing the sensory output to be produced based on the stored information.

Abstract:
Methods, systems, and media for recommending computerized services based on an animate object in the user's environment are provided. In some implementations, the method comprises: receiving a request from a user device to associate a recording device that captures motion data indicative of motion of an animate object in proximity to the user device; associating the user device with the recording device in response to receiving the request; receiving the motion data from the recording device that is indicative of motion of the animate object; determining characteristics of the animate object based on the received motion data; correlating an emotional state of a user of the user device based on the determined characteristics associated with the animate object; and causing a recommended computerized service to be presented by the user device based on the emotional state of the user.

Abstract:
A controller device with one or more processors and memory determines an identity and a location of a tagged physical object based on contextual information received from one or more sources. The controller device determines locations for each of a plurality of identifiable tags with associated tag identifiers. The controller device correlates the identity of the tagged physical object with a first set of one or more identifiable tags from among the plurality of identifiable tags based on correspondence between the determined location of the tagged physical object and at least one determined location of the first set of identifiable tags. The controller device stores the at least one determined location of the first set of identifiable tags, tag identifiers of the first set identifiable tags, and the identity of the tagged physical object in a physical object tracking table.
