    摘要: This invention relates to the art of pressure vessels of the type having a cylindrical container, one end of which is closed and has a port, and the other end of which defines an open mouth. The container has a deformable bladder of resilient material positioned therein, said bladder having a large mouth with an annular supporting member secured thereto and extending outwardly therefrom. The free edge portion of the supporting member which is longitudinally spaced from the region where the bladder is secured thereto, extends into an annular groove defined between the inner surface of the open mouth of the container and the outer periphery of a cover member positioned in the upper portion of the supporting member, the opposed surfaces of the annular groove and the free edge portion of the supporting member being bonded together to seal the container.

    摘要: This invention relates to a shock absorber of the type comprising a cylindrical outer casing having a closed mouth and also being closed at the other end, the closed end having an axial port. Positioned in the outer casing and extending longitudinally thereof is an inner casing of smaller diameter than the outer casing to define a chamber therebetween, the inner casing having one end closed by a plug and the other end closed and longitudinally spaced from the end of the outer casing, the bore of the inner casing slidably mounting a piston having an axially extending piston rod secured at one end thereto, with the other end of the piston rod protruding through an axial bore in the plug and normally resiliently urged outwardly. The piston rod has valve controlled means to permit flow of fluid from the portion of the inner casing bore adjacent the closed end of such casing to the portion of the inner casing bore on the other side of the piston and to restrain flow in the opposite direction. In addition, perforations are provided in the wall of the inner casing to permit flow of fluid from one side of the piston through the perforations to the other side of the piston. A bladder of resilient material encompasses the major portion of the length of the inner casing and the closed end of the bladder mounts a valve member which is axially aligned with an axial bore in the closed end of the inner casing and normally urged against the valve seat defined by the outer end of said axial bore. Adjustment means accessible from the exterior, through the axial port in the closed end of the outer casing is provided to determine the amount of movement of the valve means away from the valve seat defined at the outer end of the axial bore in the closed end of the inner casing.

    摘要: This invention relates to the art of pressure vessels of the type comprising a rigid container having an opening at one end and an oil port at its other end. The container has a deformable partition therein intervening between the opening and the oil port and defining a gas chamber and an oil chamber. A rigid member is secured in the opening of the container and has a bore therethrough. A layer of resilient material, which defines a disc portion extends over the inner end of the bore. The periphery of such disc portion is bonded to the surface of the rigid member through which the inner end of the bore extends, said disc portion having passage means therethrough positioned between the bonded periphery thereof and the axis thereof, the inner end of such passage means normally abutting against such surface, the portion of said disc inwardly of its bonded periphery being movable away from such surface.

    摘要: This invention relates to a pressure vessel of the type having a rigid container to be filled with fluid, usually oil and gas under pressure and having a deformable partition intervening between such fluids and more particularly relates to a pressure accumulator of relatively large size in the order of say 40gallon capacity and which is extremely heavy and in the order of say 300 to 400 pounds. The partition is a bladder closed at one end and having an open mouth at its other end. The container has longitudinally aligned ports at opposed ends and is designed to be mounted in vertical position with the upper port receiving a gas fitting to which the mouth of the bladder is secured, for charging of the bladder with gas under pressure and the lower port having an oil fitting for charging the container with a fluid such as oil under pressure. The oil fitting has a mounting flange associated therewith to permit rigid mounting of the container in upright position on a suitable complementary flange that is connected to a source of oil under pressure such as an oil line. The gas fitting is mounted in the upper port so that it may readily be removed together with the bladder without need to disconnect the accumulator from the oil line and without need to handle the heavy accumulator.
