摘要: The invention broadly contemplates an electronic apparatus that provides improved antenna characteristics, while maintaining a thin size and light weight. The electronic apparatus of the present invention includes a display casing having a nonconductive resin region and a conductive resin region in a bottom surface thereof; a display module accommodated in the display casing; an antenna disposed in the nonconductive resin region; and a system casing accommodating a wireless module connected to the antenna. By disposing the antenna in the nonconductive resin region formed in the bottom surface of the display casing, it is possible to secure high radio wave sensitivity while preventing an antenna mounting portion from being exposed to the outside of the display casing. The casing structure of the electronic apparatus does not become thick because of butt joining even when the joint portions are in a projection area of an LCD module.

摘要: The invention provides a casing structure for an electronic apparatus that achieves a thin size and light weight. The casing structure is capable of accommodating a display module, and comprises a sidewall and a bottom surface in which a conductive resin region and a nonconductive resin region are butt joined in a curved line. The casing structure of the electronic apparatus does not become thick due to the butt joining even when the joint portions are in a projection area of the display module. Furthermore, on the display side of the casing structure, there is no need to have special frame members for securing strength in addition to the display casing. The display casing accommodates and protects the display module from an external pressing force and also has a design function that the outer surface of the casing resembles that of an outer surface of a conventional notebook PC.

摘要: A drainage system is provided for draining liquid accidentally spilled on a casing having a plurality of pushbuttons on a surface of the casing. The drainage system for a pushbutton casing may comprise a liquid collecting receptacle, a counter-bore, and a drainage exit. The counter-bore may have a sidewall. The liquid collecting receptacle may be operatively interfacing the casing. The drainage exit may be disposed on the sidewall of the counter-bore. An end opening of the counter-bore may be in connection with a drainage exit. The end opening of the counter-bore may be disposed to allow liquid entering the drainage exit out of the end opening of the counter-bore.

摘要: A portable computer having a decorative cover is disclosed. The portable computer includes a main housing and a display side housing. The display side housing is openably and closably attached to the main housing. Several apertures for forced air cooling are formed in a bottom and a side of the main housing. The decorative cover is configured to cover surfaces of the display side housing and the main housing. A tray having a flat plate member and a spacer are attached to the bottom of the main housing. The spacer is configured to secure a predetermined space between the flat plate member and the bottom of the main housing to form an air flow passage for allowing outside air to pass through the apertures. The spacer is arranged between the decorative cover and the bottom of the main housing.

摘要: A PC card slot device for an ExpressCard affords a smooth insertion of the ExpressCard into a slot for the PC card slot device, without the height of the slot being increased. A lower chassis ceiling wall defines the lower face side of a card storage space, and also includes a slot side edge that is formed of a rear-side inclined line portion and a slot-side inclined line portion. The rear-side inclined line portion and the slot-side inclined line portion are respectively inclined at angles α1 and α2, relative to a reference cross section. To insert the ExpressCard into the slot of the card storage space, the right corner of the right upper level lower face portion of the card is inserted into the card storage space and the front end of the right stepped portion of the card is guided along the inclined line portions.
