摘要: Embodiments may be a standalone module or part of mobile devices, desktop computers, servers, stereo systems, or any other systems that might benefit from condensed audio presentations of item structures such as lists or tables. Embodiments may comprise logic such as hardware and/or code to adjust the temporal characteristics of items comprising words. The items maybe included in a structure such as a text listing or table, an audio listing or table, or a combination thereof, or may be individual words or phrases. For instance, embodiments may comprise a keyword extractor to extract keywords from the items and an abbreviations generator to generate abbreviations based upon the keywords. Further embodiments may comprise a text-to-speech generator to generate audible items based upon the abbreviations to render to a user while traversing the item structure.

摘要: Systems and methods may provide for using an audio front end of a mobile device to sampled audio from an audio signal during a first portion of a periodic detection window, and reducing a power consumption of one or more components of the audio front end during a second portion of the periodic detection window. Additionally, a determination may be made as to whether voice activity is present in the audio signal based at least in part on the sampled audio. In one example, the length of the first portion and the length of the second portion are defined by a duty cycle of the periodic detection window.

摘要: Real and imaginary components of the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) of the residual echo in an acoustic echo cancellation system are separately estimated using mapping functions derived without an assumption of statistical independence between separate components of a near-end microphone input signal. The residual echo estimator calculates the real and imaginary components using an approximation of the microphone input signal without the echo. A different approximation is used depending on whether the near-end talker and/or the far-end talker are talking.

摘要: An audio coding system encodes and decodes audio signals as a plurality of independent layers of coded audio data. A basic representation of the original audio signal may be reconstructed from decoding of a single layer of coded audio data. However, a more complete representation of the original audio signal is reconstructed by decoding additional layers of coded audio data. The coding system finds application with decoding systems of varying processing power, and in transmission systems having communication channels that are characterized by intermittent transmission errors and/or variable capacity. At an encoding system, an audio signal is broken into a plurality of frequency bands which are filtered, down sampled and independently coded. A decoding system inverts the coding process applied at the encoding system for whatever number of layers that is determined will be decoded.

摘要: In some embodiments an accelerometer is mechanically coupled to a first device. The accelerometer obtains a vibration profile in response to a relative movement of the first device and a second device. A radio transmits an encrypted version of the vibration profile to the second device and receives an encrypted version of a vibration profile from the second device. A processor sets up a secure channel between the radio and the second device in which to exchange keys with the second device in order to decrypt the received encrypted vibration profile. The processor also decrypts the received encrypted vibration profile in response to at least one of the exchanged keys, compares the transmitted vibration profile with the received vibration profile and allows a sharing of resources with the second device if a match occurs between the transmitted vibration profile and the received vibration profile. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

摘要: In some embodiments an adaptive clocking controller determines a clock spread of a system clock that would result in a lowest total interference between a channel received by a radio receiver and the system clock. A clock generator modifies a spread of the system clock in response to the determined clock spread. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
