    Abstract: A dual purpose valve assembly may comprise a conduit, a first valve, and a second valve. The first valve may comprise a vacuum breaker valve. The second valve may comprise a check valve. A drain system may comprise a supply tube, a drain tube, and a dual purpose valve disposed between the supply tube and the drain tube. The drain system may allow fluid to drain based on gravity alone, and the dual purpose valve assembly may operate based on gravity alone.

    Abstract: An inside-out liquid purification system includes a housing and a cartridge. The housing defines an interior space and includes an inlet at a top side of the housing, a fitting at the top side of the housing and inboard of the inlet, and an outlet at a bottom side of the housing. The cartridge is disposed within the interior space and includes a top cap having an orifice and configured to interlock with the fitting to suspend the cartridge within the interior space, a bottom cap adjacent to and suspended above the bottom side, and a filter having an annular shape and extending between the top cap and the bottom cap with the filter defining a hollow vertical column aligned with the orifice such that liquid enters the cartridge vertically through the orifice and exits the cartridge at least partially radially through the filter.

    Abstract: An outside-in liquid purification system includes a housing and a cartridge. The housing defines an interior space and includes an inlet, an outlet, walls extending between a top side and a bottom side, and an unfiltered volume. The cartridge is disposed within the interior space and includes a top cap adjacent the top side of the housing configured to direct liquid that enters the interior space to the unfiltered volume and a filter having an annular shape and extending between the top cap and the bottom side of the housing such that no portion of the unfiltered volume is below the filter with the filter defining a hollow vertical column such that liquid flows from the unfiltered volume through the filter into the column and then downward out of the housing through the outlet.

    Abstract: A container assembly includes a container body having a housing defining an internal compartment and an opening connected to the internal compartment. A cap having an engagement feature is mounted to the housing about the opening. A pressure relief valve is operably coupled with the internal compartment to vent fluid from the internal compartment. The pressure relief valve has a movable member movable between a first position and a second position. When the movable member is in the first position, the movable member is configured to cooperate with the engagement feature to restrict movement of the cap relative to the opening.
