    摘要: The development device of the present invention has a rotating shutter supported rotatably between a supply opening formed on a toner supply device and a receiving opening formed on a developing tank. The rotating shutter has an open section extending in the axial direction of the roller-shaped main section as well as opened in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction thereof, opening and shutting the supply opening in conjunction with attachment and detachment operation of the developing tank. The rotating shutter shuts the supply opening by covering the supply opening with the outer surface of the roller-shaped main section, and opens the supply opening by communicating the supply opening and the receiving opening through the open section. Thus, it is possible to prevent the leakage of toner even after repetitively performing the attachment and detachment operation of the developing tank.

    摘要: An exhaust gas recirculation passage connects an exhaust passage with an intake passage. A cooling device is mounted to the exhaust gas recirculation passage for cooling exhaust gas in the exhaust gas recirculation passage. An EGR valve adjusts a flow passage area of the exhaust gas recirculation passage. An exhaust gas quantity (EGR quantity) in the exhaust gas recirculation passage is feedback-controlled by manipulating an opening degree of the EGR valve based on a measurement value of an airflow meter. Existence or nonexistence of an abnormality in the cooling device is diagnosed based on whether a measurement value of the opening degree of the EGR valve contains a component corresponding to compensation for reduction of the EGR quantity due to degradation of cooling performance of the cooling device.

    摘要: In a print head for a powder jet image forming apparatus according to the present invention, a grid electrode is provided between first electrodes and a developer supply roller in parallel with major surfaces of an insulating layer, and therefore, a distance between any of the first electrodes and the grid electrode is kept fixed. Thus, applying a given level of voltage to the grid electrode allows an electric field for supplying developer to the first electrodes to arise uniformly. This is effective in avoiding uneven density in the resultant image.

    摘要: Idling speed of the internal combustion engine is controlled to a predetermined engine speed by correcting an engine operating parameter, such as, an ignition timing, the quantity of fuel injection, etc., to suppress a variation rate of the engine torque. Instead of detecting the torque variation rate directly, an engine speed variation rate is detected, and a correction value of the engine parameter is determined as a function of the engine speed variation rate based on the finding that the torque variation rate can be approximated as the engine speed variation rate with a fixed phase difference therebetween. Since the phase difference is determined by the engine speed, a correction value at the present moment is obtained from the previously obtained correction value which is preceding by the phase difference.
