摘要： A wheelchair has two foldable side frames, link members which cross one another and are pivotable about a common horizontal axis so as to fold the side frames, front wheels and rear wheels connected with the side frames, a back rest with upwardly extending back supporting members, a seat with seat supporting members which are movable upwardly and downwardly in dependence upon a folding movement, and a foot support with foot support carrying arms, wherein each side frame is provided with guide receivers for the seat supporting members, and with supports for the link members, and wherein a rear wheel axle block and the front support carrying arms are formed as a one-piece element of synthetic plastic material. Such side frames have a lower weight, but are stable nevertheless, and also result in an improved handling of the wheelchair.

摘要： A method for the formation of an overcast seam by means of a zig-zag sewing machine. After the formation of the first looping of needle and looper thread in a first overstitch position of a needle bar the needle thread is loosened and the needle bar moves into a second overstitch position, in which a further thread looping takes place. After the formation of at least one straight stitch in the second overstitch position, the joining thread between the first two thread looping is drawn out, forming a loop in the first overstitch position, the needle pierces into the loop, after which it is released. The seam thus formed is a firm joining seam by which the sewing material is not gathered between the thread loopings. The method is carried out on a device which comprises an oversewing tongue to which is assigned, in order to obtain two successive motional phases, a starting handle arranged in the swinging path of the needle bar, and a starting handle arranged in the axial path of motion, for the first overstitch position and into whose path of motion protrudes a loop stripper. The needle bar thus controls the drawing out and casting off of the joining thread between the first two thread loopings.

摘要： An overcast sewing machine in which a plurality of different stitch types can be sewn.Various designs are disclosed for sewing alternatingly the stitch types 512 and 514, which consist of two needle threads, one lower looper thread and one overcast looper thread. In one design, the holder of the overcast looper can be fixed in a first working position, in which both needle threads are interlinked with the overcast looper thread, and can be displaced into a second working position, in which only one needle thread is interlinked with the overcast looper thread. According to another design, two thread eyes are provided in the overcast looper and the overcast looper thread is threaded through one of these thread eyes to form one of the stitch types and through the other thread eye to form the other stitch type. In addition, stitch type 504, consisting of three threads, can be formed by removing one needle. To form a stitch type 502 consisting of one needle thread and one lower looper thread, an overcast looper with a fork-shaped catching tip can be moved on the looper holder from a resting position into a working position, in which the lower looper thread is laid around the edge of the material being sewn and is fed to the needle for penetration.The stitch-forming devices mentioned above are associated with additional stitchforming devices for forming a double chain stitch seam stitch type 401, DIN 61400, U.S. Federal Standard Catalogue Number 751.

摘要： A sewing machine has a housing with a needle supported therein for reciprocation upon rotation of a main shaft to move the needle into and out of engagement with a workpiece which is fed by a feed mechanism which is driven from the main shaft. The feed means is such that the material is moved in a plurality of steps while the needle is out of engagement with the workpiece. The feed includes a workpiece support arm which has one end which is pivoted on a slide drive for effecting back and forward movement of the workpiece support arm which includes a feed dog engagement part which engages the workpiece to advance it. An eccentric portion driven from the main shaft provides for the upward and downward movement of the support arm. The transmission and timing of the feed drive is such that the support arm is movable to impart movement to the feed dog engagement portion for the workpiece through the support arm in either four movement cycles in respect to one needle moving cycle, two successive ones of which take place as the needle is moved out of the workpiece and only two take place during the lifting movements of the support arm by the eccentric; or three movement cycles in respect to one needle movement cycle in which the engagement part is given a lifting movement only during two movements in the feed direction during the time the needle is out of the base plate. Drive transmission between the main shaft and the slide drive shaft has a ratio of 1 to 4 and the ratio between the main shaft and the eccentric lifting shaft is 1 to 1 which is effected by a lifting eccentric which carries two cams which are offset either by 90.degree. or 120.degree..

In an electronically controlled sewing machine capable of storing in a programmable working storage any number of sewing patterns which can be sequentially recalled, a program carrier comprises at least one control segment which is associated with a single stitch and whose starting address can be stored in the working storage once or several times between addresses of control segments of the sewing patterns. If the additional control segment corresponds to a single backward stitch, a particularly great number of designs completely differing from the basic pattern can be produced.

摘要： A sewn pattern arrangement is produced by a zig zag sewing machine in a workpiece, within the range of a modular pattern length and width. Individual elementary patterns are sewn which are formed by several stitches and are preferably of the cross-stitch type and extend each only over a fraction of the modular pattern width. This makes it possible to sew elementary patterns at various locations within the provided range of widths, so that a variety of optically impressive designs may be produced by sewing pattern rows in a desired configuration. The respective final stitch of a pattern element forms the first stitch of the subsequent one, so that jump stitches between elementary patterns are avoided. Large-area patterns may be obtained by grouping rows of pattern elements side by side.

摘要： A thread monitoring device for monitoring the thread supply in a sewing machine, having a rotary hook, comprises, a hook body with a thread bobbin having thread thereon which is connected to a rotatable shaft for rotation thereby. The hook includes a stationary bobbin case which is enclosed by a hook body which has a hub portion connected to the shaft. A light source is disposed on one side of the hook and a light receiver is disposed on the opposite side. Light is transmitted by the light source through a path intercepting the thread on the bobbin so that, when the thread on the bobbin is paid out during the stitching operation, beyond a predetermined amount, the light will be transmitted to a reflective wall portion of the hook body and deflected by the wall portion to the light receiver. The light receiver is connected in a control circuit to operate a control for operating the sewing machine or for actuating an indicator to show that the thread has been used up to the predetermined amount.

The operating system also includes a list with links between electronic addresses of electronic components in the printing machine and the spare-parts numbers and/or drawings. When the operating system receives a report of a fault in an electronic component through the electronic address thereof, it refers to the fault on the operating interface and, in response to an action by the operator, displays the associated spare-parts numbers and/or drawings on the operating interface. A method of updating the operating system is also disclosed.

摘要： An extrusion head for producing flat profiles such as tread strips for automotive vehicles from three or more different rubber or plastics materials is disclosed. The head comprises a fixed central portion and upper and lower portions pivotally connected thereto, and is fed with the different mixtures by a plurality of screw or worm extrusion devices. Between the upper and central portion and the central and lower portions of the head, insert members are located. In the upper and/or lower surface of each insert member, flow channels for the mixtures are defined, the flow channels each being bounded upwardly or downwardly as appropriate, by a plane surface of one of the portions of the head. The insert members are axially divided and are made in one piece. The flow channels each have a longitudinal axis of symmetry and such axes lie in a common vertical plane. Such an arrangement permits the profile to be changed merely by replacing one or both insert members, permits the worms or screws to be readily removed for cleaning purposes and also ensures that the flow rates in each of the flow channels is substantially constant, thereby avoiding problems of pre-vulcanization.
