Image data explaining the operation of the sewing or embroidery machine, which are read by the microprocessor (10) after entering a corresponding command and are transferred to the display screen (5), optionally after further processing, are stored for this purpose in the memory (9, 13) of the sewing or embroidery machine (1).

In this example embodiment, the GUI virtual handwheel includes a depiction of a circular physical handwheel that includes a side and a fully-depicted front face and that is oriented with a perspective orientation where a vertical dimension of the depiction is greater than a horizontal dimension of the depiction. The depiction is configured, upon receipt of a first input from a user, to send a first electronic signal to the controller of the motor to cause the motor to cause a first effect that corresponds to physically rotating the physical handwheel in a first rotational direction.

    摘要： Apparatus and method for speech recognition control of apparel manufacture equipment, such as a sewing machine, is provided. The invention includes a device for recognizing and translating an operator's verbal command into a digital control signal; a communication device such as a microphone for inputting the operator's verbal command into the recognizing and translating device; and interfacing means for presenting the digital control signal to the apparel manufacture equipment in a form recognized and accepted by the equipment. The method for voice control of apparel manufacture equipment according to the present invention comprises the steps of receiving an operator's verbal command; recognizing and translating the verbal command into a digital control signal; and routing this digital control signal to the apparel manufacture equipment in a form recognized by an actable upon by the equipment. An infrared light linkage may be employed to transmit commands from an operator to the machine's control circuitry.
