    摘要: An auto-exposure control method includes: creating an exposure table and an analog gain table including an exposure time and an analog gain of an image sensor set according to an index, respectively; calculating an average luminance value of an image frame obtained by the image sensor; checking whether or not the average luminance value is within a pre-set range including a prescribed final target value; if the average luminance value is not within the pre-set range, determining a shift step from indexes which have been applied to a current image frame according to the difference between the average luminance value and the final target value in order to determine indexes of the exposure table and the analog gain table to be applied to a next image frame; and repeatedly performing of reading an exposure time and an analog gain corresponding to the indexes shifted by the shift step determined from the indexes applied to the current image frame, from the exposure table and the analog gain table, applying the same to the image sensor, obtaining a next image frame, and calculating an average luminance value.

    摘要: A histogram stretching apparatus and a histogram stretching method are disclosed to enhance image contrast by stretching a histogram of an input image within a range of a preset maximum expansion level and a preset minimum expansion level. The histogram stretching apparatus performs proper stretching suitable for a characteristic of the input image in due consideration of a saturation portion and a distribution range of a histogram of the input image. The histogram stretching apparatus can improve stretching effects by removing the saturated portion of the input image, and can prevent image distortion even for a monochromatic image. The histogram apparatus can improve histogram stretching effects by adjusting entire image levels of an image having a histogram frequency distribution skewed to a dark or bright side before a stretching operation.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for removing noise in a dark area of an image are provided. An edge magnitude in an N×N window image including a plurality of pixels is calculated. It is determined whether an edge area is present in the window image on the basis of the edge magnitude. A mean value of brightness of the window image is calculated when the edge area is not present. It is determined whether the window image corresponds to a bright area or a dark area on the basis of the mean value. The window image is determined as the bright area when the mean value is higher than a preset brightness reference value, and low-pass filtering is performed on the window image. The window image is determined as the dark area when the mean value does not exceed the reference value, and minimum filtering is performed on the window image.
