Abstract:
A logic circuitry package for a replaceable print apparatus component includes an interface to communicate with a print apparatus logic circuit, and a logic circuit having a communication address to communicate with the print apparatus logic circuit. The logic circuit is configured to detect, via the interface, communications that include an other communication address. The logic circuit is configured to respond, via the interface, to a command series directed to the logic circuit that include the communication address of the logic circuit, based on the detected communications.
Abstract:
Example updating a supported-supplies database of an image forming apparatus are disclosed. An example method includes receiving an imaging supply in a printer; accessing an action identifier on the imaging supply; and in response to the action identifier, at least one of updating a database of the printer to include a first supported imaging supply previously not supported by or compatible with the printer, or removing a second supported imaging supply previously supported by or compatible with the printer from the database.
Abstract:
A logic circuit, or method using the same, may include a memory storing (i) a plurality of partition groups, each partition group including a plurality of partitions, and (ii) a partition map defining an address and access mode for each of said partitions, defining different access modes for at least some of the partitions. The plurality of partition groups may comprise (i) a general use partition group including a first consumable level counter; (ii) a second use partition group including a second incrementally updatable consumable level counter; and (iii) a guide partition group including a use indicator to indicate which of the first and second consumable level counters to use.
Abstract:
A logic circuitry package for a replaceable print apparatus component includes an interface to communicate with a print apparatus logic circuit and at least one logic circuit including a memory storing a reference parameter. The at least one logic circuit is configured to receive, via the interface, a first request sent to a first address to read the reference parameter; and transmit, via the interface, the reference parameter in response to the first request. The at least one logic circuit is configured to receive, via the interface, a second request sent to a second address to implement a task; and implement the task to output a digital value via the interface in response to the second request. The reference parameter corresponds to the digital value.
