摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide an organic EL element including a capping layer constituted by two layers consisting of a first capping layer and a second capping layer that has a refractive index that is higher than that of the first capping layer, in order to improve the light extraction efficiency compared with an organic EL element including a capping layer constituted by a single layer. The present invention provides an organic electroluminescent element at least including an anode, a hole transport layer, a light emitting layer, an electron transport layer, a cathode, and a capping layer arranged in this order, wherein the capping layer has a structure constituted by two layers consisting of a first capping layer and a second capping layer, a refractive index of the second capping layer is higher than a refractive index of the first capping layer throughout a wavelength range from 450 to 650 nm, and the second capping layer contains an arylamine compound having a specific structure.

摘要: According to the present invention, there is provided an organic electroluminescent device which has an anode, a hole transport layer, a luminous layer, an electron transport layer, and a cathode arranged in order of description. The device is characterized in that: the hole transport layer includes a specific arylamine compound, and that the luminous layer includes a specific indenoindole derivative or a specific carbazole derivative. The organic EL device of the present invention has improved efficiency of hole transport from the hole transport layer to the luminous layer and also improved efficiency of electron transport from the electron transport layer to the luminous layer, in comparison to conventional organic EL devices.

摘要: The organic EL device of the invention has, in order, an anode, a hole transport layer, a luminous layer, an electron transport layer and a cathode. The hole transport layer includes an indenoacridan derivative represented by the following general formula (1), and the luminous layer includes an N-aromatic substituted indenoindole compound and/or an N-aromatic substituted carbazole compound. In the formula, A1 is a divalent aromatic hydrocarbon group, a divalent aromatic heterocyclic group or a single bond, B is a monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group; a monovalent aromatic heterocyclic group; or a disubstituted amino group having, as a substituent, a monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group or a monovalent aromatic heterocyclic group; and R1 to R14 each represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group.
