Abstract: The disclosed apparatuses and methods are directed to data plane restoration in a network. A method comprises receiving a label-switched path (LSP) failure notification indicating a failure in a network; generating, by a node of the network, a fast-restoration (FR) message and transmitting the FR message to a second node of the message forwarding path. The FR message comprises: a plurality of forwarding instruction objects (FIOs) having forwarding instructions for the FR message for each node of a message forwarding path; and a plurality of label-switched path objects (LSPOs) having a restoration LSP data for each node of a protection detour path. Another method comprises receiving the FR message; generating a modified FR message based on the FR message; and transmitting the modified FR message to another node of the message forwarding path based on the FIO, prior to processing the FR message by the node.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a data frame sending method and a network device. The method includes: A first node obtains routing label stack information of a first path, where the first path is used to transmit a service, and the routing label stack information indicates each node on the first path to establish a channel of the service on the node of the first path. The first node inserts the routing label stack information and service attribute information into a payload area of a first data frame, where the service attribute information indicates each node on the first path to configure a resource for the service. The first node sends the first data frame.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a service protection method, including: A first node determines that a fault occurs on a first working path; the first node generates a bandwidth activation message based on the fault, where the bandwidth activation message indicates a third node to adjust a bandwidth of a service from a protection bandwidth to a target bandwidth, the protection bandwidth represents a pre-occupied bandwidth of a first protection path before transmission of the service, and the target bandwidth represents an actual occupied bandwidth for transmission of the service; and the first node sends the bandwidth activation message on the first protection path.

Abstract: A path protection method includes receiving, by a source node of a first path, a path event notify message from a first node on the first path. The path event notify message includes indication information that the first path is predicted to fail. The path protection method further includes obtaining, by the source node, information about a predicted protection path. The information about the predicted protection path includes resource information of a second path useable to protect a service on the first path. The first path and the second path include the source node and a same sink node. The path protection method further includes storing, by the source node, the resource information of the second path.

Abstract: This application provides a node configuration method, wherein the method includes: First, determinning a target network based on an original network, where the original network is for flooding control topology information, the target network is for flooding the service topology information, and a quantity of flooding paths in the target network is less than a quantity of flooding paths in the original network. Next, determinning attributes of all interfaces on each node, where the attributes of the interfaces include a first attribute and a second attribute, an interface with the first attribute is configured to flood the service topology information. Further, generating first configuration information based on the attributes of all the interfaces on each node, and sends, to each node, the first configuration information corresponding to each node, where the first configuration information indicates each node to configure the attributes of all the local interfaces.

Abstract: This application provides example methods for establishing a service path in a transport network and example systems. One example method includes, obtaining, by an automatically switched optical network (ASON) first node, a service path computation result path. The service path includes the ASON first node, an ASON last node, and at least one first edge network node. The method also includes sending, by the ASON first node, a path establishment request message to a downstream node. The path establishment request message carries cross-connection configuration information of the ASON last node and the at least one first edge network node. The method further includes receiving, by the ASON first node, a path establishment response message of the downstream node. The path establishment response message indicates that cross-connection configuration for the ASON last node and the at least one first edge network node is complete.

Abstract: A service protection method includes a first node that determines that a fault has occurred on a first working path, and generates a service switching message based on the fault on the first working path. The first node sends the service switching message on a first protection path, where the service switching message indicates to adjust a bandwidth of a service from a guard bandwidth to a target bandwidth, where the guard bandwidth represents a pre-occupied bandwidth of the first protection path before the service is transmitted, where the target bandwidth represents an occupied bandwidth for transmitting the service on the first protection path, and where the guard bandwidth is less than the target bandwidth.
