Abstract: Methods and systems of paying for content, such as, for example, audio and/or video content, are presented. In an example method, a task to be executed using at least one device resource associated with a user device is provided. Also, the task is to be executed during streaming of a content item. The streaming of the content item to the user device is caused to terminate in response to a determination that the execution of the task using the at least one device resource has been terminated.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to an automated remediation system that can receive service level objective (SLO) alerts or notifications and, based on the type, take automated remedial actions. The automated remediation system can perform automated responses to various SLO alerts such as latency alerts, error budget alerts, burn rate alerts, etc. The automated remediation system can utilize a mapping to select which automated response to perform; can measure the effectiveness of the automated response using a metric defined for the alert type; and, until the issue is resolved or no further actions are mapped to the alert type, can repeat the initial automated response or can take secondary automated responses. The automated remediation system can also report the alert and the remedial actions taken.

Abstract: A communications management system and an AoIP gateway server are disclosed. The AoIP gateway server is configured to send a first ACARS downlink message via an AoIP communication link. While the first ACARS downlink message is pending transmission, the communications management system is configured to send one or more ACARS downlink messages of a store and forward message type to the AoIP gateway server. The AoIP gateway server is configured to store each of the ACARS downlink messages while the first ACARS downlink message is pending transmission, and, for each store and forward message, send a pseudo-acknowledgment response back to the communications management system that indicates that the store and forward message was successfully transmitted to at least one ground system.

Abstract: An example method for automated cluster configuration includes the operations of: receiving cluster configuration data identifying a plurality of nodes of a cluster; receiving a workload description characterizing plurality of respective workloads of the plurality of nodes; analyzing the workload description to identify, among the plurality of nodes, a plurality of nodes of a first type and a plurality of nodes of the second type; configuring, on at least a subset of the plurality of nodes of the second type, respective node proxies, wherein each node proxy is configured to forward, over a second network, to a chosen node of the first type, incoming requests received over a first network; and configuring an endpoint proxy to forward, over a first network, to one of: a chosen node of the first type or a chosen node of the second type, incoming requests received over an external network.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and computer readable media for reducing placement conflicts between allocation agents tasked with allocating computing resources on a computing zone. For example, systems disclosed herein may identify placement conflicts between multiple allocation agents processing incoming placement requests on a computing zone. The systems disclosed herein may further modify a placement policy based on the number of placement conflicts by reducing one or more restrictions on rules for allocating computing resources. For example, the systems disclosed herein may enlarge a placement zone of server nodes when allocating computing resources to prevent or otherwise reduce conflicts between multiple allocation agents implementing the same placement policies. By reducing allocation restrictions and enlarging a placement zone, the systems described herein may significantly reduce placement conflicts while still optimizing placement of services on nodes of a cloud computing system.
