    摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a signal synchronization method and apparatus for high frequency communication, and pertain to the field of wireless communications technologies. The method includes: performing, on a first beam pair, high frequency data communication with user equipment; if it is determined that the user equipment enters a dead zone state, sending a synchronization indication signal to the user equipment, where the synchronization indication signal includes at least quick synchronization indication information and user equipment information, and the user equipment information includes user ID information, beam ID information of a beam pair, and cell ID information; sending, on a specified high frequency resource, a synchronization signal to the user equipment. In the present disclosure, high frequency data communication is implemented by quickly performing re-synchronization in a dead zone state. Therefore, communication service quality is relatively high.

The method may include: obtaining a reference signal sequence based on a pseudo-random sequence initial factor cinit; and mapping the sequence to one or more OFDM symbols, where the pseudo-random sequence initial factor cinit is related to a parameter d, d max(log2(nID,max+1)−10,0) or d=max(log2 (nID,max+1)−12,0), max represents that a larger value is selected from two values, and nID,max represents a maximum value of a reference signal sequence ID.

The method includes: receiving identification information, positioning reference signal (PRS) indication information, and PRS identification information of a terminal device from a location management function network element; sending the PRS identification information to the terminal device; and sending a first PRS to the terminal device. Based on the foregoing technical solutions, the terminal device may receive a PRS of another type other than a periodic PRS. Therefore, more PRSs are used for location measurement. In this way, positioning precision can be improved.

Location measurement data for a to-be-positioned terminal device is obtained by a terminal-side measurement function entity and/or an access-side measurement function entity, where the location measurement data includes a channel estimation and/or a channel impulse response that are/is obtained based on a corresponding downlink/uplink reference signal. The terminal-side measurement function entity and/or the access-side measurement function entity report/reports the location measurement data to a positioning service function entity in a network, so that the positioning function entity can estimate a location of the terminal device based on the location measurement data, thereby positioning the terminal device and improving positioning accuracy. This technical solution can be applied to both a single-base-station-based positioning environment and a multi-base-station-based positioning environment, to position the terminal device.
