Abstract: A communication method and a communication apparatus. The method includes: A terminal device sends an uplink reference signal to an access network device based on a sending pattern, where an uplink reference signal resource of the uplink reference signal includes N ports, the N ports in the sending pattern are carried on two or more OFDM symbols, or the N ports in the sending pattern are carried on two or more frequency domain combs and one OFDM symbol, and N is an integer greater than 4; and the terminal device receives precoding indication information indicating precoding for transmitting uplink data, the precoding indication information is obtained by the access network device based on the uplink reference signal, and rows of a matrix corresponding to the precoding are in one-to-one correspondence with the N ports.

Abstract: Example data transmission methods and apparatus are described. One example method includes determining an actual transmit power for first uplink data by a terminal device based on a determined channel transmit power and a transmission parameter. The actual transmit power is less than or equal to the channel transmit power, and the transmission parameter includes one or more of parameters that can be used to indicate a location of the terminal device. The terminal device sends the first uplink data at the actual transmit power. Therefore, the terminal device may determine the actual transmit power for the uplink data based on the channel transmit power and various transmission parameters that can indicate whether the terminal device is located at a cell edge, so that the actual transmit power for the uplink data can be flexibly adjusted.

Abstract: This application provides an enhanced physical downlink control channel transmission method and apparatus. The first frequency-domain resource comprises K subcarriers each having a subcarrier number of k, k=u+L*n+delta, L is an integer greater than or equal to 2, delta∈{0, 1, . . . , L−1}, u is an integer, and subcarrier numbers of the K subcarriers are numbered in ascending or descending order of frequencies.
