Embodiments of this application provide a method and an apparatus for transmitting a physical layer protocol data unit, to design a short training field sequence for a larger channel bandwidth. The short training field sequence designed in this application has a smaller peak-to-average power ratio PAPR and better performance. The method includes: generating a physical layer protocol data unit PPDU that complies with the 802.11be standard, where the PPDU includes a short training field, and a quantity of subcarriers of a frequency domain sequence of the short training field is greater than 2048; and sending the PPDU on a target channel, where a bandwidth of the target channel is greater than or equal to 160 MHz.

A method for predicting information propagation in a social network includes acquiring target information to be predicted, and acquiring influences of K clusters, where the target information is posted or forwarded by a first user at a first moment, and K is a positive integer; determining a role probability distribution of the first user, and determining a second user who has not propagated the target information, where the role probability distribution of the first user is used to indicate probabilities that the first user belongs separately to the K clusters; and determining, according to the influences of the K clusters and the role probability distribution of the first user, a probability that the second user forwards the target information from the first user. In the embodiments of the present application, propagation of target information in a social network can be predicted by using influences of K clusters.

The invention relates to techniques for controlling a dynamic hitless resizing in data transport networks. According to a method aspect of the invention, a network connection comprises M tributary slots defined in a payload area of a higher order transport scheme of the data transport network and the method comprises the steps of receiving a connection resize control signal at each of the nodes along the path of the network connection; adding at each node along the path in response to the connection resize control signal a second set of N tributary slots to the first set of the M tributary slots, such that the network connection comprises M+N tributary slots; and increasing, after M+N tributary slots are available for the network connection at each node along the path, a transport data rate of the network connection.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a signal transmission method and apparatus, which can implement fast initial time synchronization. The method includes: generating, by a transmit-end device, an initial short training sequence, where the initial short training sequence includes M sub-sequences b, and the sub-sequence b includes N transmission sampling points; determining a quantity of reception sampling points used by a receive-end device when the receive-end device performs autocorrelation processing; generating a symbol sequence according to the quantity of the reception sampling points, and generating a target short training sequence according to the symbol sequence and the initial short training sequence; and sending a target signal to the receive-end device, where a short training sequence field of the target signal carries a short training sequence symbol, and the short training sequence symbol is used to indicate the target short training sequence.

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method and a device for processing an interconnected ring in multi-protocol label switching. The method includes classifying to-be-processed services as a single ring service for an original ring and a cross-ring service for an interconnected ring corresponding to the original ring, determining information about a virtual point corresponding to the interconnected ring, creating a virtual channel of the original ring according to the information about the virtual point, using the virtual channel to forward the cross-ring service to the interconnected ring, and processing the single ring service according to a pre-created actual channel of the original ring.

Embodiments can provide an inter-cell handover method and a controller to shorten a handover delay. For achieving such, a target cell can be determined by a first controller of a source cell. The first controller can send a pre-handover request to a second controller, which may be a controller of the target cell. The pre-handover request can be configured for instructing the second controller to allocate a first resource for a cell handover to a terminal device. The first controller can send a handover command to the terminal device when the first controller determines that the terminal device meets a handover condition. The handover command can be configured for instructing the terminal device to be handed over from the source cell to the target cell based on the first resource.
