    Abstract: A control method for a cooling system includes determining, by the controller, whether the output signal of the ambient temperature sensor satisfies a predetermined an ambient low temperature driving condition, determining, by the controller, whether the output signal of the first coolant temperature sensor satisfies a predetermined first low temperature driving condition when the output signal of the ambient temperature sensor satisfies the predetermined the ambient low temperature driving condition and controlling, by the controller, the operation of the coolant control valve unit to open the first coolant passage and the third coolant passage and to close the second coolant passage when the output signal of the first coolant temperature sensor satisfies the predetermined first low temperature driving condition.

    Abstract: A control system for a coolant control valve unit, which includes a cam and a valve that opens and closes a coolant passage in conjunction with rotation of the cam, includes: a motor controlling the rotation of the cam; and a controller configured to correct a target valve opening degree of the valve using a correction value according to a degree of wear of the valve, to determine a target rotational angle of the cam using the target valve opening degree corrected by the correction value, and to control an operation of the motor according to the target rotational angle of the cam.

    Abstract: A control method for a coolant control valve unit includes detecting the coolant temperature; opening a radiator coolant supply valve; controlling the opening rate of the valve if the detected coolant temperature is higher than a target coolant temperature; and calculating a first difference value by subtracting a hysteresis value from the target coolant temperature. The blocking or controlling of the opening rate is conducted according to the detected coolant temperature and the first difference value. The hysteresis value is variable according to outside temperature.

    Abstract: An engine system includes a cylinder block and a cylinder head. A coolant control valve unit is engaged with the cylinder head to receive a coolant exhausted from the cylinder block and a coolant exhausted from the cylinder head. The coolant control valve unit controls a coolant to be supplied to a heater, a radiator, and an oil cooler and controls the coolant exhausted from the cylinder block. The coolant control valve unit receives the coolant from the cylinder head, supplies the coolant to the oil cooler, and controls the coolant distributed to the heater and the coolant exhausted from the cylinder block.

    Abstract: An engine system with a coolant control valve includes: a valve housing having a first valve space and a second valve space formed at both sides by a partition and including a connection passage formed in the partition; a first rotary valve disposed in the first valve space and having first coolant passages; a second rotary valve disposed in the second valve space and having second coolant passages; distribution lines respectively connected to positions corresponding to the first coolant passages and the second coolant passages and distributing the coolant coming through the first rotary valve and the second rotary valve; and a driver to rotate the first rotary valve and the second rotary valve. In particular, the first and second coolant passages are connected to the connection passage depending on the rotation positions of the first rotary valve and the second rotary valve.
