In the image encoding method, a portion of a texture region included in a current picture is selected as a sample texture for synthesizing the texture region and only the sample texture is encoded in place of the texture region, thereby improving the compression efficiency of encoding with respect to the texture region and thus improving the compression efficiency of encoding with respect to the entire image.

摘要： A method and apparatus for intraprediction encoding/decoding is provided. The method includes performing image inpainting based on pixels included in a previously encoded region of a current picture among pixels that are adjacent to a boundary between a current block and the previously encoded region of the current picture in order to predict the current block, and performing prediction encoding on the current block using the prediction result. Thus, a new intraprediction mode in which the current block can be accurately predicted can be provided.

The method of encoding an image by using motion prediction, the method includes: determining at least one candidate predictor set including at least one candidate predictor within a candidate predictor range away from a location of a current predictor in a reference frame; determining a reference predictor based on a distortion rate of hypothesis predictors determined according to the at least one candidate predictor of each of the at least one candidate predictor set; performing motion prediction with regard to a current frame by using a reference block corresponding to the reference predictor and a current block; and encoding image data including the current frame based on a result of the motion prediction.

摘要： A color image encoding and decoding method and apparatus use a correlation between chrominance components in order to improve coding efficiency. The color image decoding method includes: transforming chrominance components of a color image in each of two or more inter-prediction modes, calculating costs for the conversion values in each of the two or more inter-prediction modes using a predetermined cost function, selecting one of the two or more inter-prediction modes based on the calculation result, and outputting conversion values of the selected inter-prediction mode; entropy encoding the output conversion values.
