    摘要: A developing device includes a carrying roller configured to carry a developer. A storing section is configured to store the developer. A supplying roller is configured to supply the developer to the carrying roller by contacting the developer to the carrying roller, the supplying roller extending substantially parallel to the carrying roller. A conveying unit is configured to convey the developer stored in the storing section to the supplying roller. The conveying unit includes a pump with a stator having a through-hole, and a rotor disposed in the through-hole of the stator and spirally extended such that a cavity to convey the developer is formed between an outer peripheral surface of the rotor and an inner peripheral surface of the through-hole of the stator, the rotor being configured to convey the developer in the cavity in an axial direction of the rotor by eccentrically rotating. An air supplying unit is configured to supply air to the developer conveyed by the pump to scatter and fluidize the developer.

    摘要: A developing unit of the present invention includes a developing roller facing a photoconductive element and formed with a magnetic layer on its circumference. The magnetic layer has a plurality of magnetic poles of opposite polarities alternating with each other and each extending in the axial direction of the developing roller. A developer consisting of magnetic particles an toner are deposited on the developing roller by the magnetic poles and conveyed by the roller to the photoconductive element carrying a latent image thereon, thereby developing the latent image. An agitator for agitating the magnetic particles and toner is positioned relative to the developing roller such that a blade thereof has an agitation range overlapping with the magnetic force range of the magnet layer. With this configuration, it is possible to insure high quality images free from background contamination and toner scattering while extending the service life of the developing unit.

    摘要: An image density control method for an image forming apparatus determines the density of a toner image formed on a photoconductive element by a reflection type photosensor and, if the density is low, supplies a toner to a developing unit. A latent image representative of a reference pattern is electrostatically formed on the photoconductive element and then developed by a toner supplied from the developing unit. The supply of a toner to the developing unit is controlled on the basis of the outputs of the sensor associated with the area of the photoconductive element where the pattern image exists and a non-image area. A particular bias voltage is applied to the developing unit for each of the image area and non-image area.

Transparent flat plates having thicknesses suitable to correct optical path lengths for the respective color-separated lights such that effective value of focussing optical path lengths of a focussing element of the focussing system for the respective color-separated lights become equal to a distance of the focussing system between a plane of the original and the image plane are inserted into the focussing optical path in sequence in synchronism with the sequential insertion of the color separating filters into the optical path.

    摘要: A transfer apparatus is provided of the type in which a toner image formed on a photosensitive member is transferred onto a transfer or copy sheet. The apparatus is used in a copying machine of a so-called delivery type in which the sheet is conveyed using a sheet gripper. During the transfer of a toner image, the appartus applies a corona discharge to the rear side of the sheet which is of the opposite polarity from that of the toner image. The apparatus comprises a diaphragm member for restricting an opening of a transfer charger and disposed between the transfer charger and the photosensitive member, the diaphragm member being movable away from the photosensitive member as the sheet gripper passes between the transfer charger and the photosensitive member.

The motor rotational angle calculating section calculates a motor rotational angle corresponding to the value adding the first and second steering angle correction amount, and outputs it to a motor driving section so as to drive an electric motor for correcting the steering angle. Thereby, an unstable vehicle behavior due to a resonance of a yaw motion caused in the steering operation can be suppressed.

The developing section includes a developer carrier for conveying a one-component type developer deposited thereon, a feeding member for feeding the developer to the developer carrier, and a conveying member for conveying the developer toward the feeding member while agitating it. The developer storing section replenishes a developer stored therein to the developing section in a direction including at least a horizontal direction component. The developing section and developer storing section are formed with a plurality of openings in the lengthwise direction such that the replenishment of developer from the developer storing section to the developing section and the return of the developer from the latter to the former are executed via the openings.
