摘要： The invention relates to an overspeed governor tension sheave assembly in an elevator comprising at least an elevator car arranged to run along the guide rails and controlled by a speed governor assembly that is coupled to the elevator car through a governor rope forming a closed loop running over a governor sheave, and under a governor tension sheave being a part of the overspeed governor tension sheave assembly. At the final stage of installation, the machine room (6) of the elevator provided with a temporary machine room (6) is dismounted and the elevator is converted into an elevator without machine room by placing the hoisting machine (4) that was used in the temporary machine room (6), together with the hoisting ropes (28) on the traction sheave (30), into its final position in the elevator shaft (1).

The arrangement comprises at least a braking device for braking the rope being supplied to the speed limiter.
