摘要: An electro-hydraulic control system for actuating a control valve includes a control module. The control module is coupled to the surface via at least one hydraulic line and two electrical power lines. The control module uses one of the hydraulic lines as a “supply” line and the other line as a “return” line if included. Each hydraulic line of the at least one hydraulic lines can be used as an “open” line or a “close” line to open or close the control valve. The control module includes two normally closed (NC) solenoid valves (SOVs) that are coupled to the electrical power lines and can be controlled from the surface to open or close. The opening or closing of the NC SOVs in cooperation with hydraulic pressure on a “supply” line of the hydraulic lines operates (i.e., closes or opens) the control valve.

摘要: Components and systems are disclosed for implementing downhole splice connections such as within a wellbore. In some embodiments, a downhole splice connector includes at least one connector body having an inner diameter defining a cavity within which at least one connector receptacle is disposed, and at least one conductive center pin disposed within the at least one connector receptacle. The downhole splice connector further includes at least one pressure sleeve annularly disposed between an inner diameter of the connector body and an outer diameter of the center pin, such that a pressure barrier is formed between an outer diameter of the pressure sleeve and an inner diameter of the connector body and a pressure barrier is formed between an inner diameter of the pressure sleeve and an outer diameter of the center pin.

摘要: An electro-hydraulic control system actuates a control valve. A control module is controlled via two hydraulic lines and two electrical power lines. The control module uses one of the hydraulic lines as a “supply” line and the other line as a “return” line. The control module includes two normally closed (NC) solenoid valves (SOVs) that are coupled to the electrical power lines and can be controlled from the surface to open or close. The opening or closing of the NC SOVs in cooperation with hydraulic pressure on a “supply” line of the hydraulic lines operates the control valve. A NC hydraulic activated pilot cartridge in the control module can be actuated open, and movement of the control valve in either direction can continue for a short time without energizing either of the NC SOVs, therefore lowering a power demand required by the system.

摘要: This disclosure presents an apparatus to improve the indication of an amount that a fluid valve is opened. The fluid control assembly includes an improved position sensor assembly (PSA), where the PSA uses rollers rather than sliding within the PSA housing. The rollers, which can be wheels, ball bearings, and other types of rolling devices, can reduce the friction experienced by the moving component within the PSA. Since the PSA mechanism can move with less friction, the coupled valve magnetic assembly (VMA) can also be enhanced. The VMA can utilize magnets in orientations that enhance the magnetic tensile and compressive forces. For example, some magnets in the VMA can be in a perpendicular orientation to improve directional control and some magnets can be in an angled orientation to reduce the spread of the magnetic field flux lines between the magnets of the VMA and the magnets of the PSA.

摘要: Downhole connection assemblies include a connector to receive a conductor and pin at opposite ends. The connector includes a first electrical collet, a separate second electrical collet and a sleeve. The first collet includes a first recess in a first end to receive the conductor and a second recess in a second end to receive the pin. The second collet is positioned around the pin and separated from the first collet. The sleeve is positioned around the pin, first collet and the second collet. Downhole cables include a center electrical conductor, a first insulator positioned around the center conductor, a second insulator positioned around the first insulator, and a pressure tube surrounding the second insulator. The cable further includes one or more slots extending axially along a length of the second insulator, or one or more slots extending axially along an inner diameter of the pressure tube.

摘要: A method comprises charging a first hydraulic line to have greater pressure than a second hydraulic line and energizing a solenoid valve, wherein charging the first hydraulic line and energizing the solenoid valve initiates transition of an interval control valve (ICV) from a first state to a second state. The method comprises discontinuing energizing the solenoid valve and maintaining the greater pressure in the first hydraulic line until the ICV reaches a desired state.
