Abstract: A cooling air interface in a fan housing provided for diverting an amount of cooling air to cool a fan motor from a main air flow on a compression side of the fan, and delivering the cooling air to the fan motor to be cooled. The interface including a cooling air channel with an intake opening emptying into a cooling air passage having a cooling air exit opening where the cooling air is brought to the fan motor. Wall sections of the main air flow path that adjoin the intake opening, which in relation to the direction of the main air flow, are located upstream and downstream of the intake opening, extend up to the adjoining intake opening and into the cooling air channel, transitioning into the cooling air channel walls situated opposite one another in the form of rounded surfaces without corners and edges.

Abstract: A motor vehicle air-conditioning system includes a housing for guiding an air flow, wherein air outlets for the air supply into the motor vehicle interior are formed. An evaporator through-flowable by the air flow, and a thermal heat exchanger arranged in the housing downstream of the evaporator. A cold air path bypassing the thermal heat exchanger and a warm air path running through the thermal heat exchanger lead downstream into a mixing space connected to the air outlets. At least one separating wall runs through the housing and separates the housing into at least two flow areas along the cold air path, the warm air path, the mixing space and the air outlets. Air outlet areas can be closed and opened by means of operating flaps, and an air bypass can be closed and opened for a direct fluidic connection between at least two temperature zones.

Abstract: A heating and air conditioning system for a motor vehicle including a housing having an air outlet, a heating heat exchanger disposed inside the housing with a warm air path to heat air flowing therethrough, a warm air duct having a warm air intake opening and a warm air duct discharge opening disposed downstream of the heating heat exchanger channeling a partial flow of warm air from the warm air path to the air outlet, and a mode control damper rotatable about a rotational axis and connected downstream of the warm air duct in terms of flow, wherein the air outlet may be selectively opened completely or partially, and in a closed state may be partially or completely closed. The mode control damper functions simultaneously as the control damper for controlling the volume of air exiting the warm air duct discharge opening.

Abstract: A system and method for air distribution in an air conditioning system of a motor vehicle, the system including flow paths with air outlets toward the windshield, in the dashboard, and toward the footwell, along with a central gear mechanism having an adjustment element and damper controls for air dampers, for the purpose of opening and closing the air outlets. The adjustment element is arranged to be steplessly movable between a first end position and a second end position. With the system, in particular by moving the adjustment element, the settings “windshield damper open”, “footwell damper open” and “dashboard damper open” may be selected. The central gear mechanism having the adjustment element and the damper controls is configured such that the “windshield damper open” setting may be selected at either of the end positions of the adjustment element.
