    摘要: This invention is an active hydrogen-containing composition suitable for the production of flexible polyurethane foam when reacted with a polyisocyanate, said composition comprising,(a) a polyol having an average functionality of about 2.0 to about 4.0, having at least about 50% of its active hydroxyl groups in the form of primary hydroxyl groups, and an equivalent weight from about 500 to about 5000;(b) from about 0.5 to about 5 parts, per 100 parts by weight of component (a) of a crosslinker selected from the group consisting of monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine, monoisopropanolamine, diisopropanolamine, methylene bis(o-chloroaniline) and mixtures thereof; and(c) at least about 0.15 equivalent per equivalent of (a) and (b), of a polyfunctional flame retarding additive having an equivalent weight of less than about 300, which flame retarding additive is selected from the group consisting of (i) hydroxyl-terminated alkanes having a plurality of primary hydroxyl groups, (ii) alkylene ethers and polyethers having a plurality of primary hydroxyl groups, (iii) polyurea compounds having at least 2 hydroxyalkyl groups which are attached to a urea nitrogen atom, (iv) polycarbamates having a plurality of primary hydroxyl groups or a plurality of primary hydroxyalkyl groups attached to a tertiary nitrogen atoms.Foams prepared from this active hydrogen-containing composition have excellent burn properties, as determined by tests described herein, as well as good physical properties.

    摘要: Cycloalphatic acrylate compositions and methods of making them are disclosed. The compositions are mixtures containing dicyclopentadiene (meth) acrylate and (meth) acrylates such as the mono and di (meth) acrylates of tri, and tetracyclopentadiene and a mixture of the copolymers of (meth) acrylic acid with adducts of cyclopentadiene with isoprene and/or piperylene and a mixture of poly (meth) acrylates having the repeating unit ##STR1## Where R.sup.1 is hydrogen or ##STR2## R.sup.2 is CH.sub.2 .dbd.CZ--C(O)--O-- Z is H, or methyln is 0, 1 or 2 andm is 0 or 1 and when m is 0 there isa double bond present.The compositions are useful to make cross-linkable blends with unsaturated resins or monomers and to make laminates.

    摘要: A method and composition for inhibiting the corrosion of metals in contact with an acid-gas absorbing medium comprising adding a product of the reaction of (1) copper or a copper salt, a copper oxide or a copper sulfide and (2) sulfur or a sulfide and an oxidizing agent and (3) a monoalkanolamine (monoethanolamine). The reaction is carried out at from 21.degree. to about 100.degree. C for a period of time to produce a stable non-precipitating product, i.e., reacted for from 0.1 to about 20 hours. The product is added to a gas treating plant absorbent in an amount of at least 0.00002 pounds of copper and 0.0002 pounds of sulfur per pound of medium per day.
