    摘要: A method of driving a display uses first (4) and second (5) illumination cycles of the display. In each cycle, a first set of pixels (1′) is illuminated with a first color (R, G) and a second set of pixels (2′) is illuminated with a second color (G, B). The first and second colors of the two cycles together include at least three colors (R, G, B) for forming an image. This method provides a sequential drive scheme, in that at least two cycles are used with different color properties. However, each cycle uses at least two different colors, so that each cycle is not a single color across the whole display area. In this way, the color sequence is alternated spatially as well as temporally.

    摘要: The transmission system according to the invention employs a transmitter (10) and a receiver (14). The receiver (14) employs a storage device (16) for storing content information (13) within the signal (11) received from the transmitter (10). The receiver further employs a control module (18) for controlling the storage device (16) in dependence on storage control information (15) associated with the content information (13), which storage control information (15) is also included in the signal (11). If the signal (11) is transmitted via a network (12), the transmitter (10) is preferably arranged for transmitting the signal (11) in dependence on the load of the network (12). In this way, content information (13) such as data, audio or video, can be transmitted during periods that the network (12) provides sufficient capacity, e.g., during the night.

    摘要: In a communication system a communication device (2) is present for receiving a wideband broadcast signal from a head-end. For providing a return channel to enable interactive TV services, a GSM transceiver (34) is included in the communication device. In order to be able to provide also telephone services access control means (30) are present in the communication device (2) in order to control the access to the GSM transceiver without access conflicts causing an incorrect working system. The access control means switch between the return signals transmitted by a processor (12) and the telephone signals transmitted by a telephone terminal (22). In an embodiment of the invention, the communication device (2) is integrated in a TV set (3).
