    摘要: A contact lens material comprising a condensation polymer having a recurring unit represented by the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is --C(CF.sub.3).sub.2 -- or ##STR2## R.sup.2 is a group represented by the formula: ##STR3## in which l is an integer of 1 to 3, m is an integer of 1 to 15 and n is an integer of 1 to 3, ##STR4## in which u is an integer of 1 to 3 and v is an integer of 1 to 3, a group represented by the formula (II): ##STR5## wherein R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are the same or different and each is hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, or a group represented by the formula (III): ##STR6## wherein R.sup.7 is --C(CF.sub.3).sub.2 --, ##STR7## or a direct bond, and R.sup.8 and R.sup.9 are the same or different and each is an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, a fluoroalkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, hydrogen atom, hydroxyl group or carboxyl group. The contact lens material is excellent in transparency, having high oxygen permeability and moreover, excellent in heat resistance, ultraviolet-ray absorbing property and forming and processing property.

    摘要: A transparent ocular lens material comprising a silicon-containing polymer having a recurring unit represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein each of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is independently hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms or a group represented by the general formula (lI): ##STR2## in which each of R.sup.5, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 is independently an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms or phenyl group. The ocular lens material has excellent transparency, high oxygen permeability and heat resistance, and excellent ultraviolet-ray absorbing properties and forming and processing properties, and has a relatively high refractive index.

    摘要: A transparent ocular lens material comprising a condensation polymer prepared by the condensation polymerization of a monomer mixture comprising (A) an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and (B) at least one diamino compound selected from (a) a silicon-containing diamine, (b) a diamino-substituted benzene and (c) a diamino-substituted diphenyl. The ocular lens material is excellent in transparency, having high oxygen permeability and moreover, excellent in heat resistance, ultraviolet-ray absorbing property and forming and processing property. Therefore, the ocular lens material can be suitably used in contact lenses, intraocular lenses, and the like.

    摘要: A method of producing an intraocular lens having integrally formed optic and haptic including the steps of: (a) preparing a polyimide powder having a repeated unit represented by the following formula: ##STR1## [in the formula, when R.sub.1 =--C(CF.sub.3).sub.2 --, R.sub.2 is selected from ##STR2## the polyimide powder having a particle size of less than 1 mm; (b) placing the polyimide powder between a pair of dies having a pattern corresponding to a part of the contour of the lens; (c) hot pressing the polyimide powder between the dies, to provide a molding having the above part of the contour of the lens; and (d) machining the molding to form the rest of the contour of the lens to thereby provide the overall shape of the intraocular lens.

    摘要: A process for producing a contact lens having a hydrophilic surface comprising subjecting a contact lens material comprising a copolymer prepared by copolymerizing a monomer mixture containing a polymerizable monomer (A) which is at least one member selected from a sugar ketal-containing (meth)acrylate and a sugar glycerol ketal-containing (meth)acrylate, and a polymerizable monomer (B) which is copolymerizable with the polymerizable monomer (A) to acid treatment, wherein the polymerizable monomer (B) contains a hydrophobic monomer which is at least one member selected from a silicon-containing monomer, a fluorine-containing monomer and a silicon- and fluorine-containing monomer, and a contact lens which has high oxygen permeability and of which surface shows stably excellent hydrophilic property and which is excellent in deposit resistance at the same time.
