    摘要: A method to enable access to resources hosted in a compute cloud begins upon receiving a registration request to initiate a user's registration to use resources hosted in the compute cloud. During a registration process initiated by receipt of the registration request, a federated single sign-on (F-SSO) request is received. The F-SSO request includes an assertion (e.g., an HTTP-based SAML assertion) having authentication data (e.g., an SSH public key, a CIFS username, etc.) for use to enable direct user access to a resource hosted in the compute cloud. Upon validation of the assertion, the authentication data is deployed within the cloud to enable direct user access to the compute cloud resource using the authentication data. In this manner, the cloud provider provides authentication, single sign-on and lifecycle management for the user, despite the “air gap” between the HTTP protocol used for F-SSO and the non-HTTP protocol used for the user's direct access to the cloud resource.

    摘要: A paper web transfer tape having a cover flap joined longitudinally to a carrier member along the trailing edge such that the cover flap opens in a hinged manner to expose a pressure sensitive adhesive layer on the carrier member for adherence to an advancing paper web for severance and transfer of the paper web onto an empty spool. The transfer tape is adhered to an empty spool. The cover flap is opened by air resistance encountered during rotation of the spool, by providing an adhesive tab member on the exterior of the cover flap that initiates opening upon adhesion of the tab member to the reel drum, or by providing a blast of pressurized air against the leading edge of the transfer tape.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for assembling, dispensing and using a laminated paper web transfer tape, an embodiment of the apparatus having a pair of transfer tape spools enclosed within a cartridge dispenser, one transfer tape spool containing a first tape component of the laminated transfer tape and the other transfer tape spool containing a second tape component of the laminated transfer tape, the first tape component being the combination of a substrate having adhesive on both sides and a release liner, the second tape component being a cover flap member having a release coating over at least a majority of one side. The components are unwound from the spools and pressed together such that they become joined along a longitudinal edge strip, then dispensed from the housing. The cover flap member covers one of the adhesive sides of the transfer tape substrate until the moment just prior to transfer of a continuous paper web from a full web spool to an empty web spool, the cover flap member being opened to expose the adhesive by air pressure or resistance. The cartridge dispenser is removed retained within a dispenser frame.

    摘要: Paperband useable in paper web cutting turn-up systems or baling operations includes a core of one or more elongate elements with long creases with air spaces disposed throughout and providing non-uniform and non-planar outer surfaces. Long covering member has a smooth outer surface folded about the core and overlapping side edge portions adhesively attached together and to the core. Cover may include thin and pliable outer edge portions extending substantially equidistant laterally inwardly or the core may be scored or perforated before being wrapped by the cover. The core may be formed of one or more elements that have been shredded into ribbons and adhesively attached to each other and to the cover or one or more elongate elements. Outer edge portions are readily bendable to release from a slotted track. The outer edge portions may include longitudinal or transverse scoring. Band may be thicker along its long axis.
