Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure relate to positioning and synchronization of network device. A positioning and synchronization apparatus comprises an antenna. The apparatus also comprises a small form factor pluggable (SFP) connector comprising a first pin connected to a first pin of a SFP fiber port of a network device and a second pin connected to a second pin of the SFP fiber port. The apparatus also comprises a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver. The GNSS receiver is configured to receive signals comprising positioning-related information over the antenna and to provide a positioning signal over the first pin of the SFP connector and a pulse per second (PPS) signal over the second pin of the SFP connector.

Abstract: In embodiments of the present disclosure, a method is provided for managing an AP position for an access point. In the method, a magnetic distribution map is obtained for an indoor area, the magnetic distribution map representing a plurality of reference magnetic values that are collected at a plurality of reference positions in the indoor area. A plurality of magnetic measurements are received, here the plurality of magnetic measurements are respectively collected at a plurality of access point (AP) positions at which a plurality of APs are deployed within the indoor area, and the plurality of AP positions are unknown. The plurality of AP positions are mapped to a portion of the plurality of reference positions based on the plurality of magnetic measurements and the plurality of reference magnetic values. The plurality of AP positions are determined based on the portion of the plurality of reference positions. Therefore. AP positions may be determined accurately and effectively in an indoor environment.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a power supply device, an electronic system and a method. The electronic system comprises an electronic device and the power supply device transmitting synchronization information from a satellite to the electronic system. The power supply device comprises a first modulator configured to receive a signal from a satellite and to generate a first modulated supply voltage, a level pattern of the first modulated supply voltage indicating synchronization information included in the satellite signal; and a first transformer configured to provide the first modulated supply voltage to an electronic device to enable a synchronization between the satellite and the electronic device based on the synchronization information. The electronic device demodulates the first modulated supply voltage to determine the synchronization information for synchronizing with the satellite. By using the embodiments of the disclosure, cost for manufacturing the electronic devices can be significantly reduced.

Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure relate to a system comprising an access point (AP), an antenna module and a radio cable. The AP includes a modulator configured to receive a clock signal and a power voltage and modulate them into a modulated power. The radio cable is configured to transmit the modulated power. The antenna module comprises a directional antenna, a demodulator configured to demodulate the modulated power into a demodulated clock signal, and a sensor configured to receive the demodulated clock signal and the modulated power. With the system of the present disclosure, the compass/declinometer sensors can be deployed on the panel antenna, so as to obtain the location, the direction and the coverage of the panel antenna. Further, the radio frequency cables can be used to transmit the power and clock signal between the sensor and the AP, and there is no need to provide dedicated cables.
