    摘要: An optical disc signal processing apparatus is provided which comprises a rotation control section for measuring and outputting the number of edges within a predetermined time for a binary signal obtained from an RF signal reproduced from an optical disc on which information is recorded, a detecting section for detecting a missing portion of the RF signal, and a parameter control section for, when a missing portion of the RF signal is not detected, calculating and outputting a rotation control parameter for controlling a rotation of the optical disc based on the number of edges obtained by the rotation control section, and when a missing portion of the RF signal is detected, controlling the rotation control parameter so that an influence of the missing portion of the RF signal is suppressed.

    摘要: A recording/reproducing method includes: reading a first uncompressed data from a first recording medium; reading the first uncompressed data from a buffer memory at a speed higher than a normal reproduction speed and compressing the read first uncompressed data to generate a compressed data; and recording the generated compressed data in a second recording medium; determining whether a predefined unit volume of compressed data is recorded in the second recording medium; and when it is determined that the predefined unit volume of compressed data is not yet recorded in the second recording medium, generating a second uncompressed data by reading the compressed data from the second recording medium at a speed higher than the normal reproduction speed and decompressing the read compressed data when it is determined that the predefined unit volume of compressed data is already recorded in the second recording medium.

    摘要: Aqueous copolymer latexes comprising colloidally dispersed, substantially spheroidal copolymer particles having a predominantly hydrophobic core portion and having a relatively hydrophilic polymeric portion which is preferentially oriented toward the outer surface thereof (e.g., a relatively hydrophilic shell portion) are prepared by (a) first emulsion polymerizing an initial monomer charge to form a first aqueous latex of a substantially linear, relatively hydrophilic polymer and (b) thereafter emulsion polymerizing a major proportion (e.g., from about 50 to about 95 parts by weight) of a second (and relatively more hydrophobic) monomer charge in the presence of a minor proportion (e.g., from about 5 to about 50 parts by weight on a polymer solids basis) of said first, relatively hydrophilic polymer latex.

A microcomputer 108 reads only specific compressed font data from a ROM 104 in which compressed font data is stored, decompresses the read compressed font data sequentially and stores the decompressed font data into a RAM 105. The microcomputer 108 also generates information to be superimposed on the video information by combining decompressed font data and stores the superimposition information into the RAM 105. A video synthesis section 111 superimposes the superimposition information stored in the RAM 105 on the video information.
