摘要： A method of producing an indwelling needle assembly formed by assembling an inner needle having a point only at its tip, an inner needle hub fixed to the base end of the inner needle, a hollow outer needle through which the inner needle is insertable, an outer needle hub fixed to the base end of the outer needle, and an elastic seal member on the outer needle hub effecting sealing when the inner needle is withdrawn. The method involves: inserting the inner needle into the seal member to set the inner needle to an inserted state; applying, in the inserted state, lubricant to the outer peripheral surface of at least that portion of the inner needle which protrudes from the seal member; and axially reciprocating at least one time the inner needle relative to the seal member to cause the lubricant to penetrate the inside of the seal member.

摘要： An indwelling needle assembly has a hollow outer needle, an outer-needle hub fixed to the base end of the outer needle, an inner needle inserted into the outer needle, an inner-needle hub fixed to the base end of the inner needle, a tube connected to the base end (or a side section) of the outer-needle hub so that the inner cavity of the tube is communicated with the inner cavity of the outer needle, and a protector that, when the inner needle is removed from the outer needle, covers at least the point of the inner needle and disconnectably connected to the outer-needle hub. A finger hold is formed in a projecting manner on a protector cover of the protector, and the finger hold is pressed by a finger to move the outer needle in the direction of its tip relative to the inner needle. The finger hold is formed in a shape that, when the outer needle is moved in the direction of its tip relative to the inner needle, causes force applied in the direction in which the finger hold projects relative to the center axis of the outer needle to act on the finger hold.

A step section of the outer needle hub serves as a speed reducer that reduces the speed, in the direction of the flow path axis of a main pipe, of a liquid portion flowing in the flow path, the portion flowing along that portion of the inner surface of the main pipe located on that side of the main pipe on which a branch flow path is located. The step section has an opening in the inner surface of the main pipe located at a position corresponding to a front end opening of the branch flow path. The step section forms a space between the opening and the front end opening of the branch flow path.

摘要： An indwelling needle assembly comprises an inner needle, a hollow outer needle receiving the inner needle and secured to an outer needle hub having a resin projection, and an elastic protector which has a connection member with a projecting part engageable with the projection and which is detachably connected to the outer needle hub by the engagement of the projecting part with the projection. The outer needle hub projection includes a sliding surface on which the projecting part slidingly moves. The connection member can take a first state in which the projecting part engages the projection and a second state in which the projecting part is disengaged from the projection. When the connection member changes from the first state to the second state, the projecting part slidingly moves along the projection sliding surface of the projection. A part of the projecting part contacting the sliding surface is formed of resin.

摘要： A medical device comprises an indwelling needle assembly comprising an inner needle having a sharp needle tip at the end thereof and a hollow outer needle into which the inner needle is inserted and a suction device by which blood is sucked through the indwelling needle assembly in an indwelling state where the indwelling needle assembly is pierced into a living body and indwells there, wherein the suction device includes a suction power-controlling system which controls the suction power. Between the outer peripheral face of the inner needle and the inner peripheral face of the outer needle of this medical device, a space communicating with the suction device is formed along the longitudinal direction of the indwelling needle assembly and blood flows into this space. In this space, the suction power controlled by the suction power-controlling system is set lower by 5 mmHg or more than the atmospheric pressure.

摘要： An indwelling needle assembly comprises an inner needle secured to an inner needle hub, a hollow outer needle in which the inner needle is positioned, an outer needle hub secured to the outer needle and having a projection at the proximal end, and an elastic protector which has a connection member with a projecting part engageable with the projection and which is detachably connected to the outer needle hub by the engagement of the projecting part with the projection. The projection of the outer needle hub comprises a tilted sliding surface on which the projecting part slidingly moves. The connection member can take a first state in which the projecting part engages the projection and a second state in which the projecting part is disengaged from the projection. When changing from the first state to the second state, the projecting part slidingly moves along the sliding surface of the projection.
