    摘要: A transfer material comprising an optically anisotropic layer formed of a liquid crystalline composition comprising a monomer having an acidic group and/or a monomer which generates a monomer having an acidic group by an action of an acid or a base, and a photosensitive polymer layer, which is useful for forming an optically anisotropic layer in a liquid crystal cell, is provided. A process for easily producing a laminated structure having a patterned optically anisotropic layer, which comprises the following steps [1] and [2]: [1] subjecting the transfer material to patterned light exposure using photomask; and [2] removing the non-exposed parts of the transfer material by development with an aqueous alkaline solution, is also provided.

    摘要: A process of readily producing a patterned birefringent product excellent in resolution and heat-resistance is provided. Said process comprises at least the following steps [1] to [3] in order: [1] preparing a birefringence pattern builder which comprises an optically anisotropic layer comprising a polymer, and said optically anisotropic layer has a retardation disappearance temperature in the range higher than 20° C., at said retardation disappearance temperature in-plane retardation becomes 30% or lower of the retardation at 20° C. of the same optically anisotropic layer, and said retardation disappearance temperature rises by light exposure; [2] subjecting the birefringence pattern builder to patterned light exposure; [3] heating the laminated structure obtained after the step [2] at 50° C. or higher and 400° C. or lower.

    摘要: There is provided an optical device including a plurality of polarizers that are arranged along a propagation direction of incident light, where the plurality of polarizers have transmission axes of substantially the same direction, a phaser that is provided between the plurality of polarizers, where the phaser has a retarded-phase axis forming a predetermined angle with the transmission axes of the plurality of polarizers, and a phase modulator that is provided adjacent to the phaser along the propagation direction, where the phase modulator has a retarded-phase axis of substantially the same direction as the retarded-phase axis of the phaser. Here, a phase difference generated in the incident light by the phase modulator is temporally adjusted such that the optical device transmits light in different wavelength ranges at different timings.
